Everyone also thinks they're better than someone else (a member of some group or another simply because they're a member of that group).
I don't see that.

I get a little tired of people using "everyone" when talking about racism... It isn't "everyone" that thinks racist thoughts. It isn't "everyone" that perpetuates racist stereotypes.

I'm also getting really tired of having to feel apologetic for things that were done hundreds of years ago by one group of people to another group of people. I wasn't one of the people in either group, and neither was anyone that might be reading this post.

Not true.  I do things to circus midgets that can't be printed or even said out loud.

I'm a circus midget racist.  Down with circus midgets!

Quote
author=Maindolfan Huge mispersepection.  I don't think it has to do with skin color, rather actions.

author=run_to_win  Very true.  Unfortunately, when you judge people by their actions people tend to confuse that with racism.

Excellent . That is it in a nutshell. 100%

I think "everyone" has at one point done, said, or been witness to (and done nothing about) a racist action, comment, whatever.  When I say "everyone is intolerant to some degree" (I don't think I've said racist, because that I'm not, though I admit to some intolerances unrelated to race) I mean it as if to say "don't be holier than thou, I'm sure you have moments you're ashamed of, too".

I don't see that.

You, Run, for instance, would be seen as being "racist" against liberals (what the hell, the term's misused all the time anyway, let's go with it).

I've had more moments that I'm ashamed of than I'd wish on anyone...and none of them involved racism. This isn't a "holier than thou" thing, it's simply a "way it is" thing.

I'm far more likely to be voted "Unholier than thou" than most people. After all, I am the guy who was once called the antichrist by a southern baptist minister.

OK, he actually just asked me if I was the antichrist, but 666 of one, half dozen of the other... Wink

I guess its something that is too difficult for people stuck in their own ways to believe.

Defense...you're pathetic.  Picking on people on the job all day isn't enough, so you look for fights and vent your bullshit on the internet.  Do me a favor.  Go ask your parents and all 3 teachers you've ever had for an explanation and an apology for the mess that you are, THEN find the biggest, thickest, BLACKEST night-stick in your station available and go fuck yourself.
