Try paying a little closer attention to the meetings going on.  The NL almost adopted it for next season as it is.  There will be a DL in the NL within 5 years.  Take it to the bank.
I would say Maine has a little insight on this issue then the most of us. Maine are in favor of this or do you like it the way it is ? I know you like the DH position and so do I, but I like the idea of seeing pitchers hit in the playoffs, it really challenges the coaching staff.

Do you think there'd be backlash if they got adopted the DH in the National League.

I think more people I know like it when pitchers have to hit.  It adds so much more strategy.

Hey, I'm not saying it in a bad way - just a FYI way.  The talks have gone on behind the scenes forever.  Back in the day the NL and AL had seperate governing bodies and commish heads.  Now it's all one front office.

Yes, I think a severe one as well.  One of the reasons that it'll get "talked about" for a couple years before done.

I would think the DH rule has given the AL advantage over the NL, all we need to do is look at the recent world series winners, the AL has been dominate lately.

Oh you mean like 2006?

Make all the arguments for it that you like, I still won't like it and most NL fans will have a fit if they institute it in the NL.

Hard to tell, with no cap.  It could just be that the best teams are in the AL.

A more accurate representation would be all of interleague play.  How does that look?  ...still not a great measuring stick, but better than world series wins.

the DH takes all the strategy and consequence of a pitching change out of the game.  Your pitcher is sucking?  In the NL, you're forced to think about your batting lineup, the players on your bench, last outs, etc, before you can change your pitcher.  In the AL - sure take him out, its just a pitcher.  He has no affect on anything else anyway.

This isn't true at all.  The games that are played in the NL park do not have the DH.  The AL team is at a huge disadvantage as they play the rest of the season with a DH and rely on that offense.
