They are running out of assholes now. Who is going to be the resident loud mouth now without Strahan and Shockey ?

Oh wait, Burress is there. They'll be fine..... Wink

I've always liked Tom Coughlin and it seems like he's outliving his tormenters.

Tiki Barber - Criticizes Coughlin, retires a year too early and misses out on the Super Bowl. All Coughlin did was restructure the offense around Barber, taught him how not to fumble and he publicly blasts Coughlin. What a loser!

Jeremy Shockey
- Never did like Shockey. I thought he was overrated and he is certainly not the best tight end to come out of the U (that honor goes to Bubba Franks). Shockey may be the better receiver but Kevin Boss is the better all around player.

Michael Strahan - He at least came to Coughlin's defense after blasting him for having strict rules. He got a chance to ride off into the sunset a winner not a whiner.

I'm hoping that the Giants REPEAT as Super Bowl Champs. I'm glad that there is some vindication for all the mess that Coughlin went through with some of these guys.

Well, Shockey is an arrogant loudmouth. But he has a ton of physical talent, and if he grows up some, he'll do well with Drew Brees throwing to him. Some guys do mature and get their head on straight, and I hope Shockey has learned things from his disappointing time in New York. We'll see.

And Tom Coughlin, good football man that he is (who inherently means well), is an obsessional/compulsive micromanager. You would hate to have someone this compulsive and anal as your boss in a workplace setting. At least I would.

What all you Barber haters forget is that when the Giants were sucking and Coghlin's job was on the line, the owner went to the veterans including Barber, and asked what they thought. Barber told them to keep him.

Interesting tidbit.... Shockey's best year with the Giants was 2003 (his rookie year).  Who was the Giants offensive coordinator at the time??  Yep, it was Sean Payton, the Saints head coach.

Giants are better of with kevin boss anyways.  I think N.O. picking him up was a good trade. That gives them anothe guy too look at other than Marquis colston and who know, maybe reggie bush will finally do something  Huh

Reggie Bush will do something if the Saints admit to themselves that he's a slot receiver, not a running back. Remember how people used to say that Welker "ran like a running back", "was more like a running back than a receiver" and stuff like that? Well, that type of compact, hard-hitting guy with good hands is what you want in a slot receiver and the Patsies proved that a slot receiver doesn't have to be the "#3" receiver.

The Saints primarily used David Patten and Devery Henderson in the slot last year, but Bush is clearly better than either of those.

The ONE issue that might prevent him from thriving at slot is "game intelligence". Slot receiver is reportedly one of the most mentally demanding positions on offense (after quarterback, of course) and I have no way of knowing how Bush does in that department.

On the other hand, the Saints have 3 running backs better at running the ball than Bush (Deuce McAllister, Pierre Thomas and Aaron Stecker), so it's not like they have a lot to lose.

I can't believe people are talking about the same Reggie Bush I got blasted for saying I wouldn't have drafted #1 either.

Back on topic, they gave up too much for a guy like Shockey. I do see it as beneficial to both teams (as long as Shockey isn't an ass in NO), but they gave up too much.

Shockey is a horrible teamate...and a whinny little bitch of a man....for someone that big I would expect him not to act like a woman all the time...sorry...thats offensive to women because he whines MORE than any woman I have ever met.  Maybe he should worry more about football and less about bangin' chicks like Tara Reid...He's a jerk and he's gonna be crying again when the Bucs whoop up on the Saints and I hope to God he cries himself out of the league...he has one good season and everyone thinks he's freaking Tony Gonzalas...O V E R R A T E D!!!
