I thought it would be funny seeing how long it would take for Madden to mention Favre. I started watching the game, but then my neighbor came over to drop something off, so I missed a few minutes. I haven't heard any mention yet, but he may have said it while I was talking to my neighbor.
Did he say it? If so, this thread is moot. But if he hasn't mentioned it yet, it'll be fun to see how long it takes!

I figure its only a matter of time. They are playing in the stadium which Favre now calls home. Plus they might talk about JT being traded, and it'll lead to "of course the biggest trade this off season"....

He said something about the Giants defending their Super Bowl title, and lots of other teams being considered contenders. He mentioned the Cowboys, then said something like "of course with Favre being traded to the Jets, lots of people expect them to be much better" or something like that. It looked to me like he kind of had a smirk on his face, like he was teasing Madden and saying that on purpose cause he knows Madden loves Favre. I expected Madden to chime right in with something about Favre, but he didn't. So he has yet to mention Favre.

They are not idiots. 

why hype a game of a competing network....how many times has peyton's name?  that is the next game on nbc.

Have you ever watched Madden? He talks about Favre non-stop, regardless of what chaneel his game is going to be on that weekend.

exactly they are pimping the colts bears game, same network

madden was probably told not to mention farve under penalty of death.
