You're right...that might be about the worst RB group I've ever seen on a fantasy roster...and you should definitely get Rudi out of the active roster for week one (at least). He might not even play, and if he does, his touches will be really limited. If that #2 RB slot is RB/WR, I'd drop Welker in there. If not, then I'd go with Mendenhall, even though he's still in the change of pace role for Pitt. If Welker can't go there, he deserves the TE/WR slot more than Ginn does at this point.

I won't sugarcoat it, Tony...you're in for a long season, and one without very many wins. Next year, draft some RBs before round 6-7 and you'll have a better shot.

I bet you stop paying attention by week 5, when you're 0-4.  Sorry to say, you have a terrible team.  Why did you wait so long to take a RB?  Who was your first 2 or 3 picks?  I am guessing you went Owens, Romo, Holt....?

How many teams are in your league?

You should drop that backup kicker immediately in favor of a flier RB.  Who's available?

Check to see if Steve Slaton or Timmy Hightower is available. If not, maybe Brandon Jackson?

Brian's right though...a backup K is pretty much a wasted bench slot.

I have to say I'd be scouring the waiver wire for a Running Back....3 Qb's? and 2 kickers? I'd agree with people above...Your running backs..are sad.... Undecided Sorry Tony...

3 QB's is a good thing to have if you've got a strong set of RB's and recievers.  I do agree that an extra kicker is a wasted draft slot.  When you kicker takes his bye week, cut his ass loose and grab another one.

Tony, RB's are the key to any fantasy league.  Try to grab at least two with your first five picks.

Yeah...Otto is not your draft buddy. Drafting your own squad always works best.

As far as Tommy's comment on 3 QBs goes...I only see the need to carry a 3rd QB when my #1 is shaky at best. If I waited and ended up with Rivers or Eli Manning as my starter, I might slide a 3rd QB in there. With Romo anchored in as the starter and minimal RB talent, I might not want to waste that extra bench slot on a QB when I can pack another flier RB in there and hope that something pops up to help in that area at some point in the season.

See if you can trade Big Ben for a decent RB...that is if your league allows trades...also Norwood may have a big game against Detroit...IDK between him and Mendenhall.  Ya I agree cut that reserve kicker...

How do you figure that? If you can only play one QB...I have hard time coming up with a reason for a third Qb,with only one QB starting....I'm not into selecting a QB that has a hot young back up,or had to battle his ass off for the starting spot..(Not As My Number 1 QB)..Either way...32 Starting QB's every Sunday...2 to each team (say even a 14 team league = 28 QB's taken...) Still 4 starters on the Waiver wire.....Now they may Be the 4 worst QB's in the league...but Qb's there tends to be options...A lot like Kickers....

Tony,

Just like you said, only someone who is a sucker will bite at that trade.  However, of the RB's you listed, I would snag Jacob Hester and Pierre Thomas.  Both are top backups and will see a decent amount of playing time.  Not only that but they are the top backups to RB's coming off injuries (Ladanian Tomlinson and Deuce McCallister) and if those guys go down again, their numbers will be called.

notwithstanding the many comments above which i agree with.... i would say this the year is not lost.  of all the the positions rb is the most fluid.

RBs get injured much more often than QBs and WR.  hunt down a couple of back up rbs that are still availabe b/c they back up a superstar who gets 90% of the carries and hope for an injury.

ducks as he waits to get blasted for hoping for an injury..... I don't ever root/hope for an injury but those types of backups are sound FF play.

Isn't Ahman Green starting in Hou.? Pick his ass up. D. Rhodes will be getting some carries in Ind. too. And good luck with trades man, from my experience, people are stingy and unreasonable when it comes to trading. They'd rather hoard all the talent and their mothers and keep 'em on the bench rather than give anyone else a shot at getting better. God I'm so glad I run my own league...  Cheesy
