Yeah, yeah I know their record is pathetic but they have been playing some good ball as of late and with a little help from the Diamondbacks that Dodgers have sealed up the NL West title on their day off. I hope they can make a run like the Rockies last year and end up in the Series. I know they Cubs, and Phils and so on are tough teams but the Dodgers pitching is not terrible.....they do lead the NL in ERA. Manny was a great move and really helped push this team over the top. Congrats to my beloved Dodgers and let's try and win a series.....hell I will even take 2 games!!!!!  Wink

I have a serious problem with 3 Dodgers. I reeeeeally like Clayton Kershaw, Andre Ethier and Russell Martin. I'd take any of the three on the Padres or Marlins right now, no questions asked. To see them serving the Evil Blue just breaks my heart... Wink

Congrat's, AZ...

Yankees fire Joe Torre for not winning the world series.  Then he takes the Dodgers to the playoffs while the Yankees who went to the playoffs every year he managed them sit home.

Loving it.

Don't forget to mention that Manny carried them.....

Convenient that you left that out.  Roll Eyes

You conveniently took a couple of extra chugs of the doofus juice today, apparently...

Until they let managers take their hacks at the plate, it's pretty much ALWAYS a player or players who carry a team.

Duh...

Just like it's ALWAYS the manager's job to keeps the players focused and prepared to win ballgames. The Yankees were a better-managed team under Torre than they are right now under Girardi. They also had a much less braindead Steinbrenner sitting in the big chair.

My 12 year old all star team could've won the NL West.  Congrats on getting a .500 team to the playoffs......... Roll Eyes

^^You're just bitter because your $200,000,000 payrolled .500 team is sitting their asses home for the first time since 1978 me thinks.

You're still playing with 12 year olds? Don't the parents of the other kids make fun of you for that?

At least they didn't fold the tents like the Red Sox did like little girls down the stretch in '06.
