201 times he whiffed this season, a new major league record. Ryan Howard was on pace to destroy it just 3 weeks ago, but has really stepped up his game the past 3 weeks for the Phillies.
Strikeouts aren't always bad, most of the time it's just another out, it's just frustrating to watch. For example, Adam Dunn is a very good player and good for your team offensively. Still, to be a fan of the team he is on must make you punch a hole in the wall at least 9 times a season.
