I invite you all to watch this clip from Fox news.  It's not even spin.  It's just lying about the news.

It's this guy in a diner of about 20 people in Pennsylvania.  He asks "Raise your hand if you're for McCain."  One guy does.  (This old guy who didn't understand the question, so his wife pulls his arm down.)

"Now raise your hand if you're for Obama."  Everyone in the whole place raises their hand (including the old guy who raised his hand for McCain.

Then the announcer says "It's split....I'd say a little heavier towards Obama at the moment."

What a bunch of horse-shit.
Don't watch fox if it bothers you.

I find it odd that a conservative news station would promote their agenda, and I find it odd liberal stations promote their own agenda and then claim they are fare and balance. I would say if you don't like it change the channel or leave any other place that promotes their own agenda.

By the way Fox News is the most watched news channel, they must be doing something right.

Don't watch fox if it bothers you.

That's just not good enough.

FOX is masquerading as a news source and blatantly lying to its viewers.  It's one thing to be biased in editorial segments (O'Reilly, Hannity, etc), but to have your anchors blatantly mis-telling factual information in support of the government is outright dangerous.  Go read 1984.

All of the regular news channels: NBC, CBS, CNN use a somewhat scientific polling procedure to determine the general public's opinion of each debate.  They are transparent to their methods,

However, Fox's poll is totally bogus.  They have a "phone in" poll on their station, so that 1) most people who watch Fox are conservative and more importantly 2) the pundits are all saying how McCain won the debate while they put the number on the screen.

So, in last night's debate, the Fox Poll showed that McCain won the election: 86% and Obama: 12%
A phone in poll sounds pretty transparent to me.

Perhaps they're just giving polling all the attention and detail that it deserves?

Who cares about polls?  Do polls affect anyone's point of view?  "What? 86% of people favor McCain?  I GOTTA GET ON THAT BANDWAGON!"  I don't see it.

How about CNN omitting words from the VP debate transcript?

Palin said, "I'm not going to answer questions the way you want me to..."

The CNN transcript says, "I'm not going to answer questions you want me to..."

How about editing interviews to totally change the meaning of the answers?

The issue here is not that this happens because it's been happening for a long time.  The issue here seems to be that it's now also happening to the Democrats.

I didn't know that that happened, and if if was done on purpose, then that is detestable.  I already knew your response before you wrote it.  I don't want any news organizations changing the news.

Are you even aware of which news network created (and still uses) the slogan, "Fair and Balanced"?

Hint: It's not MSNBC.  Or CNN.  Or ABC.  Or NBC.  Or CBS.

The "one guy" who raised his hand for McCain... was the freaking reporter asking the question!  You can see that he's holding the microphone.  When was the last time you ever saw a journalist insert himself into a poll?  Fox's balanced, objective professionalism hard at work, as always.

As far as that tape shows, there was not one single customer in that diner that was planning to vote for McCain.  To Fox, that's a "split".

HAHA way to go closet GOP boy. There is only one station for those on the right side of the political spectrum to go to, where as there are several news agencies that are splitting the pool of those darn liberals.
Both parties have their own mainstream "news" channels to promote them, so it is ridiculous to claim one is more biased than the other
CNN= Clinton News
Fox= Bush propaganda channel
Our country would be better served if both were taken off the air.

A few years ago, I was watching CNN. The reporter was an unknown, but she was interviewing an al-jazeera reporter. They were talking about how al-jazeera is run, and their viewers. I don't remember what brought this up, but the subject of the events in Blackhawk Down came up. The al-jazeera reporter said something along the lines of "Yes, we do talk about it, and we remind our viewers that those events happened under the watch of this president's father, George Bush." The reporter's only reply was a cutsie little smile, and then they went on to something else. I almost threw my ashtray at the TV. I also sent an email to CNN about it, telling them that it was at that point that they lost me as a viewer. Didn't get a reply back though.
