So that won't happen when they leave your protected bubble and go out into the real world? Better you teach them as they interact with others so they can define right from wrong . Give them the tools necessary to be bright responsible , healthy adults and they will be way better off then protected anti social people who don't have a clue.

Isn't this the same thing most of the christians are whining about? They don't want their children being taught certain things because it goes against their values and morals?

Interesting...

Boohoo. You had kids. You want them brought up a certain way, then pay up.
Spoken like someone who does not know the cost of raising children.

Actually, I do know the cost of raising children. That's also part of the reason I choose not to have any. Did you not look into the cost of raising children before you decided to have them? Did you not factor in that you might have to pay for their schooling if you find public schools not to be appropriate?

I am tired of the paying twice crap arguement.  I don't have children, I pay taxes to support the school system too.  My taxes go to support the public school system.  Just like my taxes go to support the police.  If you want to hire a private security guard that is fine, but don't expect a refund gift "because you are paying for police twice."  Or if you are too lazy to bring your trash cans to curb for trash collection so you hire a private company to take them from out back.
Wait a minute.  Could you be anymore of a hypocrite?

You are an out spoken supporter of the political idea of the Gov using its police power in taking the hard earn money of citizens who actual earn it, to give it to people who do not earn it, but when someone who works says they cannot afford to pay twice for school then you get all up in arms over it.

What a dang hypocrite you are.

Sorry, my bad.  You're not a hypocrite..  Its not going to be your hard earn money they are taking to give to these people.  Its the other guys money.

Right, so if YOU don't think the public schools are getting the job done. Isn't it up to YOU to put your kid in a private school, or homeschool them?

If I were to have children, there is no way in hell they'd go to a public school. I wouldn't want my kids being taught that it's ok to eat carcass and that some guy runs around sneaking into their home giving out gifts.
You had better have a high paying job or if you get married then your husband have one.  Private schools are not cheap & neither is having only one income.

I will tell my children when they start to teach some things I do not think they should to just pass the test and forget about what was told to them.  That is all Gov & PC Bulls--t.

I don't believe my tax dollars should fund two school systems.  If the city has a soup kitchen and the person who goes there doesn't like the taste of the food there, the city shouldn't pay for that person to go to a restaurant where they like the the food better.

What you are demanding for is the equivalent of the person who doesn't like the food at the soup kitchen is asking for a meal at a restaurant.

My tax dollars pay for a schools system.  Use it or don't use it, but don't expect me to pay for you to send your child to a different school system.

My tax dollars pay (in part) for public buses.  Ride them if you want.  But if you don't want to ride them don't expect me to fund your taxi ride.

My tax dollars pay for public pools and parks.  Use them if you want.  But don't ask me to subsidize your private pool or pay someone to mow your lawn.  Or your membership in a private country club.

Shouldn't this be the case regardless? That you actually have children that you can afford? This is why you're supposed to put some thought and planning into having children. Since I don't think public schools are acceptable, that is one of the things that I would need to think about PRIOR to having children.

If you truly feel that your kids aren't getting a good education, or do not like what they are being taught the pull them out of the schools. Period.

I do not either.  All I would like would be a voucher for my taxes that goes to public schools, to help off set the cost of private schools.

Are you seriously using an analogy of a homeless person to a working tax paying citizen?

Do I need to point out the difference here?

My tax dollars pay for a schools system.  Use it or don't use it, but don't expect me to pay for you to send your child to a different school system.
Why not?  You love the idea others paying higher taxes to give to people who have not earned it.

Why are you so against using money that would come out of your wallet?

BTW, not asking you to pay.  Just saying I should not have to pay twice.

When you can come up with an analogy that actually applies then use it.  Until then, these analogies do not.

No one is forcing a person to use a soup kitchen, ride a bus, go to the park.  However, don't take a kid to school & lets see what happens.

I promise. If you wait till you think you can afford a child, then you will never have a child, unless you get Gov support for having babies ( Welfare )

Its a matter of dollars & cents.   I cannot afford the cost of a private school & the cost of providing them with quality food.   I simply put the time in with my kids to discuss what they are teaching & work with them on other things to make sure they are ahead of their classmates.

I sat in the floor last night for about an hour doing math with my soon to be 7 Yr. old.  I had purchased a second grade math book ( He is in 1st ) so he will progress at a better rate.

Do you think this is because NO ONE that has ever had a child could afford them? Bullshit.

The evil rich probably have the money.  However, if the avg. person waits till they think they can afford a child, then you will never have one.

Wait a min.  Just because I do not like the set up, its whining?

Since when is asking for change considered whining?   I thought that is what this election was about.  Change.

You amaze me with your hypocrisy.

When its something you do not like, then that's fine, but when it something someone else does not like its whining.

This thought runs along the same lines of, "I have no money. I want a tv. I'll charge the tv and worry about how to pay for it later."

And, I'm sure some of the welfare recipients you WHINE about think along the same lines.
