Isn't this the same thing most of the christians are whining about? They don't want their children being taught certain things because it goes against their values and morals?

Interesting...

Didn't know I was a Christian.  I'll have to let my Rabbi know........... Roll Eyes

But you avoided the question ............again.......... Roll Eyes

Defense, you're a Jew?

I don't know why, but I never pictured you as a Jew, unless you were just kidding.

If Obama is elected, I predict that Dave Gray will agree with me more after 2 years of an Obama presidency.

Defense, you're a Jew?

I don't know why, but I never pictured you as a Jew, unless you were just kidding.

Hath not a Jew eyes? Hath not a Jew hands, organs, dimensions, senses, affections, passions; fed with the same food, hurt with the same weapons, subject to the same diseases, heal'd by the same means, warm'd and cool'd by the same winter and summer as a Christian is? If you prick us, do we not bleed? If you tickle us, do we not laugh? If you poison us, do we not die? And if you wrong us, shall we not revenge? If we are like you in the rest, we will resemble you in that.

-----

I think there is the same stereotypes that all Jews think certain way just like the stereotype that blacks all think alike and being Defense's political views don't always conform to your stereotype of Jewish political thought you assumed he could not be a Jew.

Or maybe it is because he is a cop.  And ALL Jews are doctors or lawyers and there are absolutely no Jewish cops.

I never said you were christian. I was making an example.

There are numerous ways to make sure a child is socialized. Going to a public school isn't the only way. Private school can do the same thing, as well as having your child in extra-cirricular activities and community involvement.

I don't believe my tax dollars should fund two school systems.
How about just one school system that focuses on basic education and leaves the political correctness for the private schools?

My tax dollars pay (in part) for public buses.
Where I live the transit system as over 20x the funding per rider (3% of the commutes but over 60% of the funding).  We support buses because they're flexible.  However, every year, without fail, they try to force light rail to nowhere down our throats.  Of course, the nice neighborhoods have too much influence to allow light rail in so it's proposed to go down the middle of the street through the most crime ridden neighborhoods.   Based on LA's system, about 15 people will be hit by the train each year.

My tax dollars pay for public pools and parks.
Not a lot of politics being taught at pools and parks.  If there is a problem the police are in charge, not some liberal administrator.

This thought runs along the same lines of, "I have no money. I want a tv. I'll charge the tv and worry about how to pay for it later."
Hardly.  Obviously you have no concept of the cost of children.  Its not a couple of thousand dollars.

And, I'm sure some of the welfare recipients you WHINE about think along the same lines.
Nope, welfare recipients get more money for having babies, slightly different than actually paying for them.

BS. Everyone calls liberals whiny. And?
Everyone?  Never have I.  Nor have I ever called a liberal Unpatriotic.

Actually, I have seen the staggering numbers. What would make you think I haven't? Just because I don't have any? That's part of the reason I don't have any. I can't afford to raise them the way I would want to.

So do you just blindly go in having children hoping that the numbers somehow work themselves out? If you can't afford to raise your children the way you want them raised, then why did you have them? Why should the public have to subsidize for you to put your children into the school you want?

The way you speak about it would tend to lead someone to think that way.

Just because I don't have any? That's part of the reason I don't have any. I can't afford to raise them the way I would want to.
Very few actually can.

So do you just blindly go in having children hoping that the numbers somehow work themselves out? If you can't afford to raise your children the way you want them raised, then why did you have them?
No, but as I have said.  If you wait till you have an extra million bucks laying around to raise a child, then you will never have any.

Very few raise a child the way they truly want to.  I'd love for me & my wife to both be here 24/7 with them.  However, I pay my bills & do not depend on a politician to raise taxes on others to pay them for me.

Quick question.  You are all for raising taxes on people to provide for others.

How would you like it this tax increase.  Some politicians decides that they want to raise the taxes on childless people & give more of a tax break to people with kids.

Would you be for that?

Why should the public have to subsidize for you to put your children into the school you want?
Not asking for public to subsidize me..  I'm asking for my part back, no one elses.

I can handle the difference.

I've never said that I'm for or against taxes. I'm quite indifferent on taxes. I vote based on totally different things. I see taxes as the cost of doing business.

So why should your "cost of business" go to pay for anything other than business...like public schooling, welfare, climate change research, etc? What does that have to do with doing business?

You do understand that's just a figure of speech, right?

No. I say that if we're going to increase someones it might as well be them. However, I don't sit here bellyaching about who pays what. Appsarently, it's all you worry about.
