2011 NFC East Champions!

I am already in love with Mike Singeltary, after 1 game.

It took him one half of football to see what a pathetic joke the 49ers are. Over-paid bums, prima-donnas and first round busts = the 2008 49ers. Vernon Davis - what the hell has Vernon Davis ever done, except be a total bust up to this point? Singeltary sent him home packing like he deserved, and bench the shitty JT O'Crap. He then blew up at halftime and then blew up in the post-game. He should now show his ass to the stupid offensive line, who has sucked, limiting a great RB in Frank Gore to a pathetic bum, and maybe show that pompous, egotistical Mike Martz the door as well for that garbage offense he is running there.

I hope Singeltary doesn't get asked to "tone it down" or "be more friendly". I want him to kick everyone's multi-million dollar ass so that they don't embarras the NFL with their shitty on-the-field performances any longer.

I believe that in football just like any work environment you praise publicly; criticize in private.

I agree.  ^^^  That's leadership 101.   I'm studying to take the Sergeants exam now and that's just common knowledge . Your only as good as your men, You gotta give respect to get respect.  No one is gonna respect a raving lunatic with his pants down around his ankles.

As the only real 49ers fan on the board, I not only applaud SIngletary's comments, but think they were long overdue. You guys haven't watched Vernon Davis half-ass it on every play...and it HAS been discussed in private, and got no results. He's dogged it for SF as badly as Randy Moss dogged it in Oakland.

I want the fire that Singletary brings to the 49ers, and hope he sticks around a long damned time.

As the only real 49ers fan on the board,

I thought you were a Dolphin's fan.

I thought you were a Dolphin's fan.

I adopted the Dolphins as a second team when I moved to S FL a decade ago, but am a lifelong 49ers fan since the original Nolan wore his suit on our sideline...before the first trophy hit our case. On the occasion where SF faces Miami, I am not cheering for Miami in those games. I just wouldn't know how to cheer against the Niners.

I imagine that will be brutal on you if the Dolphins are still in the hunt for a wildcard week 14.  Or can you root for a higher draft spot after they are out of it?

It's hard on me any time they play each other...and neither team I cheer for is going to the playoffs this season. In week 14, I'll cheer as hard for SF to win as I did in week 13. Wink

Teal?  I always thought Miami was aqua and orange...

This pales in comparison to when Bob Knight brought a piece of soiled toilet paper to practice to show his players what they were playing like.

I predict that by week 14 SF will be mathematically eliminated and Mia will still be controlling their own destiny.
