We'd need some help but is it possible we could back our way into a first round bye in the playoffs?  It seems we would need Pittsburgh and/or Baltimore to lose a couple games to do it, Tennesee already has the other one.  Denver we own the tie breaker over.

Ravens and Steelers both own the tie breaker over the Dolphins.  So Ravens would have to lose 2 and the steeler would have to lose 3.

That means Ravens lose to Jax, and Dal.  Pitt lose to Raven, Titans, Browns.

Its not the Ravens AND the Steelers, its whichever one wins the division.

But it ain't gonna happen, so chill with it.

Yes, but the one with the better record wins the division.  So the Fins would need to be better than both.  Cause if they are better than only one of them, that ain't the team who won the division.

All these games but go this way for Fins to get a bye:

 Pitt  @ Baltimore Ravens
Pitt @    Tennessee Titans
 Cleveland Browns @ Pitt
Baltimore Ravens@     Dallas Cowboys
Jacksonville Jaguars @Baltimore Ravens
 San Francisco 49ers @ MIA
MIA @    Kansas City Chiefs
MIA @    New York Jets

ALL 8 GAMES THE BOLDED team must win for the Fins to get the #2 seed.

ALL 8 GAMES THE BOLDED team must win for the Fins to get the #2 seed.

So, in other words, among many other things, the Steelers and Ravens MUST lose at home to the Browns and the Jaguars, respectively. Yeah, that has a high probability of occurring Wink

I believe there will be no more nonsense about a first round bye after this weekend...

I don't see it happening.  And even if the Dolphins win the division, the first round matchup is going to be really tough.  Baltimore or Indy.  Pick your poison.

The fact that we are even discussing this is amazing................. Cheesy

This season has already went way better then anyone ever imagined. A Wildcard spot would be SICK. First round bye? I'll save that for next years christmas list.

Colts.  The Ravens defense is ri-damn-diculous.  They're all fast and angry.  Remember when President Bush choked on that pretzel the last time we played them in the postseason?
