Harvin just busted out for 63 yards on two carries, but has now left the game after re-injuring that ankle.  Louis Murphy and Chris Rainey have also left the game for UF.

Harvin and Murphy both re-entered, but the Gators could not capitalize.  They settle for a field goal.

17-14 UF with just over 10 minutes to go.

What a good game...all defensive and I did not expect that...not to mention I didn't expect OU to hang around like they did...congrats to the Gators for winning and congrats to OU for playing a helluva game...is it just me or did it seem like the Tim Tebow/Nic Harris feud all game long?  Harris played a helluva game himself...DRAFT HIM TUNA!!!!

Side Note:  I wanted to punch Bradford in the face by half time...I got so tired of that stupid look on his face every time he looked to the sidelines every damn play...he looked like a retarded Ryan Renolds (Van Wilder).

Your post is a joke.... Utah would get CRUSHED by Florida, Oklahoma and USC.

The BCS may be flawed,  but in this case the 2 best teams in the country are playing for the National Championship tonight.... if you don't like it, tough shit! Wink

How do you figure? They beat the crap out of Bama, a team that Florida did not beat convincingly. Utah has a legitimate claim.

UF held "the best offense in the country" to 360 yards. They averaged over 500 per game during the regular season. They were also held to 14 points, when their average points scored during the regular season per game, was over 50. Could Utah have shut them down like that? Um, NO.

Doesn't matter.  The game is a sham.  UT is the national champion.  Call this the title game is a joke.

Utah would have also been crushed by Alabama had they played in week four or five.  'Bama basically didn't show up, seems that a lot of people forget that a little bit.

USC is the best team in college football, followed by UF.  Either one of those two teams are 21+ points better than Utah.

I can't stand that argument, Maine. Bama got waxed, they didn't get upset at the last moment. Utah controlled that game, convincingly.

^Exactly - and it seemed like Alabama was sleep walking / going through the motions.  They played as though they didn't care.

Alabama suspended their best offensive linemen (LT Andre Smith who is a top 10 projected pick in this years draft) a few days before their bowl game with Utah.... Smith was a HUGE part of the Tide's offense...Smith's loss hurt more than people realize!

Utah is a really good team(top 6 in the nation), but they played against QB John Parker Wilson.... not Tim Tebow, Sam Bradford, the AMAZING USC DEFENSE, or Colt McCoy and the Long Horns!!

The Utes should consider joining the Pac-10 or upgrading their Non-conference schedule if they want to run with the big dogs of the BCS!! Wink

Congrats to the Florida Gators and their fans for winning the FBS National Championship!  It was another great year for college football.  Smiley

This is exactly why there should be a playoff.  There needn't be discussion of who the champion should be after a season is over.

I don't think there is any real discussion. The only people claiming anything other than Florida as national champions are armchair commentators. Tha AP and BCS both have Florida number one.

Just curious ... is there any poll not picking Florida as number one? Debates about 2-4 in a couple but Florida seems to be the constant consensus.
