That was no typo! Bring on the Chefs, and we can take care of our own. Doc talked about Christmas presents for Fin fans. We just got one, and it's MEANINGFUL GAMES IN DECEMBER!

I said before the season if they won 5, I'd be happy, 8, I'd be ecstatic. I'm just plain giddy now! Even if they don't make the playoffs this year, this team will DEFINITELY be there next season! These kinds of wins aren't pretty, but after last season, there's no such thing as an "ugly" win!

The only thing ugly was the way Carpenter missed that FG and the sound it made hitting the cross bar.

They gave the Chargers a run for the money today. They need to play the chiefs  tough.

Snag a quick lead and Joey will get about 5 sacks.

A good early Christmas present would have been the Bills closing against the Jets or Seahawks over Pats last week. Pittsburgh win is the next best thing, especially if Dallas beats Baltimore next week.

Miami's offense needs to play more than 2 qtrs. Defense is playing sweet lately, they're gonna need help.

Wow, that all  i can say.  I  expected the Fins to finish 6- 10 .. But these Fins are exceeding my expectations . OMG...  Are  the fins  only a couple of draft picks & free-agent signings away from contending.  I cant wait for April now.

Agreed.  Conservative play calling can get it done against Chiefs (most likely) but not Jets.  DBs have definitely stepped it up, especially Goodman.  Seems like we're soft up the middle sometimes and D was on the field A LOT vs SF which are my major concerns.  Larry Johnson of two years ago would put a hurting on us but not this year.

So does the Chiefs close loss Sunday help us or hurt us?

I sure hope so.

BTW in order for the Pats to win the division the Pats must win out and each the Dolphins and Jets must lose or tie game. So I am rooting for both KC and SEA.  If only one of the two teams lose that will be the team I am rooting for week 17.

Here is the thing you might find interesting.  I would rather have the Dolphins lose to KC then Jets lose Sea if only one of them is going to occur.  Here is why:  I and many Patriots fan believe that if Fins win this week Jets lose this week then the Jets might not play to win in week 17, but play to lose, because Managini would rather see the Dolphins go to the playoffs if it denies his former mentor a slot.  OTOH, we respect Sparano and Pacells and figure they will play to win, for pride purposes regardless if the game is meaningful or not.

I do not believe for one second that a team would play to lose any game just to spite someone else.  There is a lot of hate between the Jets and Dolphins.  You guys are being paranoid.

i think the chiefs game is going to be the toughest out of the fins last 2. not that the jets will be easy, but beating the chiefs this week will be the hardest challenge.

Same.  Maybe for a draft pick though.

Playing the Jets in New York with the playoffs on the line is going to suck.  It's gonna be loud and the Jets should feel like winning one by then.  I thought they'd wake up against the Bills but was wrong.  If they start giving Jones the ball, and they should, we'll have a helluva fight on our hands.  Chiefs will be about as hard as beating the Niners but if we don't beat them the other crap I just wrote doesn't matter.  I thought if we were going to choke we'd have done it last Sunday.

I don't think EM would say to the team, go out there and lose to stick it to NE.

But if he was playing for nothing, he might be inclined to skip doing any real pregame planning and instead watch film of college games to get an early start on draft prep.

Who knows what approach they would take since they're all fucking geniuses spawned from Belichick's loins.  I figure someone like that could bend the team's will with a pregame speech to fit ulterior motives.  The "early start" bit seems valid.
