1-15 to 11-5...

Sorry Mike, but Tony deserved the award more than you.

To be fair, despite not having as bad of a record, the Falcons were a considerable worse mess at the end of last season than Dolphins.

Also if you want to give an award to the Dolphins for the turn around does it go to Tony S. or Bill P.?

I don't know.  I think they had a lot of people already in place and picking up Turner was huge in helping Matt Ryan.  Sure, the Vick thing was a disaster but the Falcons had better personnel to start with and they won a few more games.  How do you think the Falcons were worse?  I think Parcells hurt Sparano's chances though.  Still, I'm calling bullshit.  We were one game from being the worst team of all time last year.  Sparano got screwed.

Are you out of your freakin' gourd? Or have you already forgotten how messed up Miami was last season?

I am not saying Miami wasn't screwed up last season.  Just that the Falcons were even more screwed up.

There was no team in the NFL last season that was even close to the depths that Miami had dipped to. Atlanta had the Michael Vick situation to deal with...oh, damn! Miami had to deal with having a high school team playing in the NFL.  No contest...

Their coach quit on the team in the middle of the season....literally!

Which meant that they had an entire season with a better head coach than Miami did.

Remove the blinders...and your vision will surely improve.

I am not saying the Dolphin turn around wasn't pretty amazing. It was.  Just that I think the Falcons turn around was more amazing.

Likewise when I said I thought Chad should be MVP, I wasn't saying Peyton sucked, just that I though Chad deserved it more.

This award could have gone either way, as both Smith and Sparano did a great job in helping their respective teams rebound from disastrous 2007 seasons. As a Dolphin fan, I would have liked to see Sparano win it (or at least share the honor), but Mike Smith is certainly a worthy choice.
