So, the obvious question here is:  Do we see him in a Dolphins uniform?  I know they really need defensive back help but this guy is poison?  Can he change his ways?  I doubt it when he picked fights with his minders.

Cowboys release troubled CB Pacman Jones
IRVING, Texas – Troubled cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones was released by the Dallas Cowboys following a season in which he was suspended six games for an off-field fight.

The announcement came Wednesday, but the transaction will not become official until Feb. 9, the first day NFL teams can make waiver requests.

The Cowboys traded for Jones before the season even though he had been suspended for the 2007 season because of a series of off-field incidents.

He missed six games this season for violating the league's player conduct policy after an Oct. 7 scuffle with a team bodyguard at a Dallas hotel. He missed a seventh game with an injury.

Jones averaged just 4.6 yards per punt return and had no interceptions

Depends on the price.  If we can get him for a low salary, then I'd take a chance on him.  If he starts asking for the moon, forget it.

This dude was notorious at WVU for being a piece of shit. He started fights in the downtown nightclub's in Morgantown weekly and always got away with it because football runs life in West Virginia.

He did not doo anything to the Cowboys,  his off-the-field antics and lack of play production led to his release..  I still beleive he can comeback to PACMAN form with the right attitude adjustment.

But yeah,  I dont want him in a FIN jersey

It looks like we are all in agreement here.  I think someone will pick him up, though.

If the allegations that lead the Pacman's release from the Cowboys turn out to be true (or "likely enough to convince Goodell"), no team will be get a chance to sign him.

Although perhaps unfair, this could also impact Vick's future. If Goodell's willingness to give Pacman another chance blows up in his face, he might be less inclined to give others a chance as well.

Hard to believe I rooted for the guy at one time. He has no place in Miami.

But his off the field antics led to suspensions which did impact the team, by his not being available to them. He's not a personality cancer type but a cancer nontheless

He'll wind up in New England.

The Pats #1 corner (Hobbs) allowed 13 TD's to be scored on him.  NE is famous for restoration jobs - they'll sign him to a Moss like one year deal for '09.

For all the flack Moss takes, there is no comparison between the major problems Pacman has the minor crap Moss was involved with.  So that is not a decent comparison.

I will say there is only two teams that have a shot of being able to keep him out of trouble, however, New England and Miami (assuming Parcells stays).

Any team who does take should take him only for one year and no signing bonus -- game checks only -- maybe with a December 1 roster bonus.
