Offhand, I think McNabb has had the most sustained success.

I think Cunningham had the most pure talent and Moon had the best intangibles.

I'm giving it to Doug Williams as well.  He stuck around the NFL for a long time and was tough as nails.

Isn't he the coach at Grambling now?

I say Warren Moon.  He can actually be called one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time without the word "black".  Tongue

Warren Moon as my favorite, but it is hard to discount McNabb. The guy has a nice resume.

Doug Williams, really?

I don't think you can discount Vick.  I can't seem to understand where the grumblings about his QB skills come from, he has (had) a cannon for an arm.

That said, I still think its a really hard choice, but I think its between Moon and Cunningham.  Maybe in 15 years, McNabb deserves to be in the conversation, but I have a hard time judging current talent vs past talent.

Because that is a natural ability and has little to do with a practiced skill which much of the QB position relies on. Do you really think that throwing the ball deep is the only thing that means a QB has skill considering he struggles with every other throw?

I think it is Warren Moon...with a bit of a margin over McNabb and Cunningham. He was extremely good for a very long time, no matter what league he was playing in.

It's a really tough question.

I think I'll go with Cunningham.

I like Moon and then McNabb too but Moon for what he did in the NFL.

Doug Williams did well in the Super Bowl but I believe Timmy Smith was running like he was high on coke that day...maybe he was.  Williams is nowhere close to McNabb's league let alone Moon.

He's only passed for more than 2,500 yards once, and never for more than 3,000 yards.  His completion percentage is only 53%.  His career QB rating is 75.  He's a rusher pretending to be a quarterback.

Warren Moon.  You could put Moon in his prime in any offense, but the others I'm not sure would have faired as will wit the Run and Shoot and actually be able to make it work consistantly like he did.
