I don't think Morris would let him...they have a great defense, they're just missing a run stuffing DT.

He made our defense into one of the best in the NFL for a long time.  He couldn't do anything in Denver.  Let's see if he's still got some magic left in him.

He didn't have Jimmy drafting for him in Denver.

The Bucs only have 4 players over 30 on the defense, two (Hovan, Carter) that rotate with regularity with the rest of the defensive line.  They drafted Talib to take over for Barber, and some could argue they drafted Black and Hayes to fill in for Brooks.  I think if they drafted a stud OLB and a monster DT they'd be just as solid on defense as they've been in the past.

I see the biggest problem Bates prefers to play lots of Man,and Kiffin was the Two deep over the top zone...Some of the current players (DB's especially will have problems adjusting...think Jamar Fletcher....)
