Fair enough. But I still have a hard time believing that given a wish to go back and do it over you wouldn't do something different.

Stl's point is that she's happy with life now.  So, without her mistakes, she wouldn't be where she is now, thus risking losing that happiness.

Like I said........fair enough. I totally get and respect that. But if given 1 chance I just have a hard time beliving she would do something different along the way to give her greater happiness.

I think most of us are all happy with life. We still have the what if moment though. It's human nature.

Mine is the day that I was hit by a car on my way to school. Because of that moment, I have lifelong orthopedic issues. If I could make that go away, hell yeah I would

I don't regret my daughter, but if I had the chance to do it over, I would. Her life has been hell because of her mother's stupidity. I don't really want to go into everything that happened, but my reasons for saying that are well thought out and logical. What I will say is that her mother abandoned her, and hasn't talked to her in over 5 years, and hasn't seen her in 8 years. I haven't been stable enough to have her live with me, so she lives with my mom. That's just the tip of the iceberg of things that have gone wrong.

That's actually what I was going for.


Me; I'd have called out of work that night and spent it with my ex GF. She wouldn't have gone out with her friends - keeping her safe from that car accident.
