I waited, but in the end I was let down.

I continue to hear about how Obama is about change in Washington, so I fully expected him to stand up today & stand for change.  Show us that he can be counted on to not play backroom politics.  I waited for the press conference telling me how the news of the continued failure of the people who he had appointed to very important offices are failing to pay their taxes all in the while expecting the US people to pay theirs.

However, what I get from Obama is

Quote
Obama, speaking to reporters, said he was "absolutely" supporting his Cabinet choice.

Obama is not for change.  He is simply another politician who ran on change, but really has not meat behind that change.

I just wonder how he can ask citizens to be patriotic & pay more taxes, while the people controlling the country haven't been.   The BS of Daschle saying he made a mistake.  Anyone ever heard of a mistake where one of these guys overpaid their taxes?

I did not have much faith in Obama, but everyone said he was different.  I listen to the people who said he was for change while ignoring that he never stood up for change at any point in his life in Chicago corrupt politics.  What little faith I had in Obama just took a chink out of it.  This onto of the BS stimulus package he is quickly trying to push through.

I'm not defending Daschle.  I don't know the story.  If he was cheating on his taxes, then Obama should get rid of that kind of stuff from his administration.

However, in doing my own taxes, I cut corners wherever possible, even making some stretch assumptions and hoping for the best.  I don't consider myself a criminal for it and I don't intentionally cheat on them.  If I got audited and was told that I wrote off something that I wasn't supposed to, I'd say "Oops" and pay whatever I had to.

I don't know much about Daschle, but CNN is painting him as a guy loved by his colleagues, even those in the GOP (that's not why they're going after him too hard -- because they like working with him.)

In obama's defense he will bring change. The corruption will be democratically led instead of republican led.

You would have to be foolish to believe that any candidate from one of the two major parties would and could make any real difference. They all have to repay their dues for getting the chance to run.

Justice is served.   I guess behind the scene they were not happy with him.  But still these people tick me off when they want to raise your taxes, but cheat on their own.
You lead by example.
