I am fully satisfied with my XBOX360.  Even though it broke on me, I can't help but love it.  I love the interface of the GUI and the online/store/demo/download system.  I love the friends list.  There are a few things I'd like to see differently, but they're just suggestion tweaks.  They're also constantly adding features that I like and I find useful.  Because I have a lot of friends on the system, I buy multiplatform games for the 360, because of online play and achievement comparison.

The PS3 I bought because I got a great deal, and have enjoyed it as well.  I don't play it nearly as much as the 360, but I have had some really good experiences with the console exclusives.  Moreso than that, I use it as a DVD player.  It upscans very, very well and it plays Blu-Rays.   So, I'm happy there.  It gets regular use, and I like knowing that I can play the PS3 only games that come along.

The Wii is another story.  I don't ever play it.  ...and I don't ever really want to.  It's fun to play when people (especially non-gamers) are in town, but it's really not all that fun by yourself.  When I had family in town, we had a good time playing Wii Sports and stuff, but for the most part, I don't see myself expanding the game library.  Wii Sports is really all you need.  If I want to play something with more substance, I'll go to one of my other systems, and if I want to play with casual friends, usually Wii Sports is about as complex as they want to get.  Originally, Ms. Dave got into Wii Fit, but that quickly wore off.

I really think the Xbox360 has become "the" system (sorry PS3 fanboys).  Up to now, there has been nothing that has even made me itch to want a PS3.

That said, Dave, you're the only one I know that has all three consoles.

My mom bought me a Wii for Christmas, but expects me to not want it.  I am not sure if I want it or not.  Dave - your thoughts?

Sportschick will probably enjoy it, and you seem to entertain more people than I do.  But there isn't a lot of depth to the gaming.  It's a totally different kind of experience than you get from the 360 or PS3, entirely.

If you're the kind of person that enjoys that "everyone in one room being silly" kind of gaming -- Mario Party, Smash Bros., etc.  -- then you will like the Wii.  If you're a serious gamer and like graphics, story, and precise controls, the Wii probably won't work for you.

It seems to me that the wii is more for kids and serious gamers like the xbox.  But what do I know?  I'm still playing on my ps2. ; D

Saying that the Wii is for kids is not really true.  Kids pick up the XBOX and PS3 just fine.

The Wii is really for traditionally non-gamers.  It has a low barrier to entry for people who don't traditionally play games.   ...people who maybe used to play pac-man in an arcade, but haven't owned a system in 10 years -- people who play a few things on their cellphone, etc.

I can get my Mom and brothers to play on the Wii.  Ms. Dave can play and enjoy all of its features.  The same is not true for the 360.  It's a much more involved experience.

I have a brother who never EVER plays games.  He can't get enough of Wii Sports when he comes over.  It's also fun for me to be able to play games with him and have us both be on a level playing field.

I want to add -- there is one thing about the 360 that blows.  The D-Pad is totally jacked.  It's almost unusable as a straight D-pad.  For weapons selection, like in Gears, it works (although not well, I often end up picking the wrong thing.)  For arcade games and fighters, it is terrible.

Everyone knows it -- why not just release a new one?

Hey that makes two of us....The only reason I bought the Playstation2,was myPSone was on it's last legs, and the emulator for my computer is tad sketchy on some games....Lol...

I have to add,I was really disappointed with a lot of the games on the PS2....If I had played the PC version, the console version tended to REALLY Suck, and be a watered down version...I've not seen any games on the current game consoles that would make me plunk down cash for a new console.....

I always try to choose my console by the library of games it has, which is why I went 360 this time around. I'd like to get a PS3, but I'm not seeing a selection that catches my eye, which is the reason I went PS2 over XBOX. I'm all about the games, not the system. As much as I'm jonesing for MGS4, I have no interest in PS3 and its Ãœber price tag, and don't care about BluRay. 1 game is not gonna sway me, last time I did that (Gamecube), I ended up very disappointed.

So, I'm lovin the 360, and the game selection is pretty sweet. (even though I can get most of 'em for my ultimate gaming machine, the PC...)

I love all my consoles, actually.  I play the 360 the most but I do enjoy the Wii.  The MLB game is amazing on the Wii, as is Tiger Woods '08.  The freaking Godzilla game will keep you in stitches as you pound your way through cities and burn shit up.

I bought a DS as well - I find that was not money well spent for me, although my wife can play it for hours on end.

Brian and I have a xBox, xBox360, GameCube and PS2 and I have a DS as well.

The PS2 isn't hooked up, and the gamecube almost never gets played unless I feel like playing Mario Party.

I enjoy my DS but I just don't have time these days

I have an original Xbox that I really should hook up in my bedroom.  I had some really cool games for that thing that I wouldn't mind dabbling in while my wife is watching damn ass shows like "Intervention."
