I really don't see how MLB can continue to honor Bonds as the Home Run Champion.  I really don't.

Send him to the big house and stick him with a shank,
Strip him of his HR crown and give it back to Hank...

I don't get it - the article leans towards "Barry ain't going anywhere"

Wishful thinking much?

I'm surprised with all the money he has, he hasn't fled to a country that doesn't have an extradition treaty with the U.S.

It's not that easy. First, he can't exactly get out unnoticed. Second, just because a country doesn't have an extradition treaty (or mutual legal assistance agreement, as we usually call these things), it doesn't mean extradition could not be negotiated. Third, I'm sure all of his banking and investment accounts have been flagged for monitoring. He probably couldn't move much money out of the country before the boys over at DOJ noticed.

Do you think Clemens will get the same type of treatment?

I Hope so! That Guy is the biggest pussie in MLB! He throws at peoples heads and then doesn't even have the balls to come to bat. Bonds is an ass but Clemens is the KING of asshats as far as I'm concerned.

What treatment? Bonds broke the most hallowed of baseball records and has been an asshole his whole career. Clemens has been eviscerated in the press and his career achievements are in tatters, plus he is facing the possibility of perjury charges for lying to congress.

1) Anyone with a brain knew he was cheating, so this comes as no surprise.

2) The record he broke isn't just the most hallowed in baseball, it's the most hallowed in ALL of sports. Most people know Gretzky has the most goals ever, but does the average fan know how many? Most points in the NBA? Most TD's in the NFL? The HR record is the most sacred and Bonds destroyed it due to cheating.

3) I don't think Clemens is more of a pussy than your average pitcher. Pedro is/was a headhunter and the only guy he ever charged was Don Zimmer. He is a douchebag and a hard look at his stats before and after when he was juicing may actually make some re-think their stance of whether or not he even was a Hall of Famer before he started cheating.

In the end, their odds of making the Hall depend on if they are convicted of their crimes. If both are acquitted, in time I feel they will get in. If not? No chance.

They both deserve what they get. Asshole doesn't begin to describe those two.

I concur, and I hope Clemmens gets perjury charges so the whole "its because he is black" thing for Bonds will go away.

I'm already smelling pay-off.The judge has ruled that key pieces of evidence against Bonds(such as several positive steriods tests) are inadmissable without the testimony of his trainer,Greg Anderson, who by the way,has chosen prison rather than testify against Bonds.I can honestly see Barroid skating out of court with that smug smile of his because he has the means to write the checks that will make all of this go away. That's o.k. assbag, just ask Orenthal,it all catches up to you someday...

I  doubt it is a fix A long time ago they said the tests would likely be inadmissible because of a broken chain of custody. This is a clear example of not enough evidence rather than a bribed judge.
