Jon Gruden thinks Tim Tebow will revolutionize the game of football, and that he can throw as well as any other QB in the NFL.

Tim Tebow is the biggest hack ever on the planet. The ONLY REASON (ONLY REASON) why he is good in college is because he is BIGGER than the rest of the kids - and he still sucks at throwing. He's going to get killed in the NFL with his stupid "jump pass" and his stupid wildcat formation (how did that work out for the Dolphins after a few games?)

I agree. he might confuse a few defenses here or there.........but its only a matter of time before every team has his number. You can't run every play in the NFL.  He will be retarded and eating applesuace through a straw by the time he's 25 if he does.

I think you guys are dead wrong on Tebow... but I am fairly comfortable being out on a thin branch without any company on QBs (Beck, Russell, etc...), so no problema.

Tebow is not going to "revolutionize" anything in football, but I believe he has all the physical tools necessary to become a decent NFL QB. He needs to be coached into playing an NFL style of game, but he's smart enough to take coaching, and dedicated enough to put in the work necessary to evolve his own game. You guys are looking at how he was used at UF and seem to be thinking that's all there is to Tebow, but I think that's just all that UF let the world see of Tebow.

I'm not prepping him for any pro bowls...but I bet he has a decent enough NFL career that no one will be able to call him bustalicious.

I tend to agree with Stroke. Tebow is not going to be anything amazing, but he can be serviceable. He won't be able to be the runner he is in college so he is going to have to rely on the pass. He is just taking the easiest route for him now, but I think you will see a difference next year as he tries to show his passing potential (which is nowhere near as bad a people lead on).

  Tebow wants to have any kind of NFL success as a quarterback a lot of things have to change.  A lot of times he telegraphs his passes, which makes it easy for DB's to pick him off.  In the title game Nic Harris of Oklahoma baited Tim perfectly, and picked off his pass.  At the next level, guys like Champ Bailey, and Nmandi Asmougha would have a field day with Tebow.  Right now, as I look at it, Tebow is pretty much Alex Smith on steroids.  He's got a long way to go before even being considered a "servicable" NFL quarterback.

Biggest difference between Alex Smith and Tim Tebow is the one thing that Alex wasn't able to overcome...his hands are too small to hold the ball. That's why he is no longer the 49ers starting QB.

Tebow definitely will need to have a damned good QB coach when he hits the NFL to help teach him all the things that the Florida program didn't...but I do think he can learn what he needs to learn to accomplish this.

I heard an interview during super bowl week with former Gator and L.A. Rams great Jack Youngblood,and I think he hit the nail on the head when he compared Tebow as a "bigger,faster stronger Steve Young" when he gets to the NFL.It all depends on where he ends up,I think.

I agree that a lot of what goes into how successful he can be is based on where he goes and how he's used, but I think Jack's comparing him to Steve Young is a little bit of a stretch. Steve Young was a very accomplished passer coming out of BYU, both in terms of arm strength and accuracy. I am not sure that Tebow will ever be able to develop that level of accuracy as a QB, but I don't think many QBs are able to do that.

I see both as being equally ridiculous...but I also understand that when people are down on a QB, Michael Vick is a really easy trigger to pull.
