More specifically, we *currently* have:
1st round: 25th pick 2nd round: 12th pick (from Washington as part of the JT deal), 24th pick 3rd round: 23rd pick 4th round: 26th pick 5th round: 25th pick 6th round: none (traded to Dallas, along with last year's 6th rounder, for Jason Ferguson and Dallas' 6th round pick last year, used to select Donald Thomas) 7th round: 5th (from Cleveland in exchange for Travis Daniels), 23rd pick, 28th (from Carolina in exchange for Josh McCown)
This WILL change when compensatory draft picks are granted sometime late March (usually). These picks are given to teams who "lose" more than they "gain" in free agency. 32 compensatory picks are given in total, after rounds 3-7 in the draft.
IOW our picks in rounds 4-7 will drop, although we could also get some more picks - and I think that's likely. If we pick up the same number of free agents as we lose, but still "lose" (lower contract values), we can still get a 7th round pick. If we lose e.g. Carey and he signs for a buttload elsewhere, it's crucial that we DON'T sign as many free agents as we lose. Stupid rule, but if we do, we can only get a 7th rounder in compensation. If we don't, we're eligible for a pick at the end of round 3!
