2011 NFC East Champions!

« on: March 10, 2009, 05:51:59 pm »

If Lebron "Queen" James wins, I will boycott the NBA playoffs ala Sunstroke after Phoenix choked against the Spurs two years ago.

Seriously...there are only 2 MVP candidates - Kobe or D-Wade...Lebron can't win big games (1-5 record against the top 3 NBA teams), and is simply not clutch. I can't really remember any clutch situation in recent times where he took the final shot (and made it) to win a game. Both Kobe and now D-Wade do this almost every time out.

Lebwrong James winning the MVP will be the NBA saying "We desparately want this overhyped high school kid to be the next MJ thing to really work out". Too bad Lebwrong <<<<<<<<< D-Wade / Kobe.

If D-Wade loses to Kobe, OK. If LeFake wins, that is total bullshit and I actually may root for the Celtics in the East Finals.

If I had a vote, I'd give it to Wade without hesitation...he's carried a weak club into prominence by force of will.

...but I just don't understand the hate for a player (LeBron) who would be taken #1 overall by every GM in the NBA if the league did a full redraft tomorrow.

A lot of LJ's reputation has to do with his team being able to win. A lot of sports writers believe that MVPs belong on winning teams. If that's the case, then LJ should share his potential MVP award with Mo Williams, who has played a significant role in the Cav's success. I think an MVP should define which player is most valuable to their teammates. I believe that D Wade is the most valuable to his. Take Wade out of the Heat, and most likely you'll have a club record comparable to the Knicks.

Wade is the MVP, but he won't win because his team isn't considered championship caliber. Kobe was by far and away the best player the last 5 seasons, but because he was playing with Kwame Brown and Chris Mihm no one took the lakers seriously. Last year the lakers make the NBA finals, he wins MVP. Ohh yeah, did anyone cacth what Kobe did to that Trash talking punk Ron Artest. He put 19 on his ass in the 4th quarter.

Lebron is a great player, but dosen't have the mid-range game of a Kobe or Wade. Until he consistently develops that shot he won't be as good as Wade or Kobe.
