Rumors were the Lions were interested, but it appears no one wanted to pay Beck's current contract and he apparently cleared waivers (where the Lions would have had first dibs).

Instead, Beck has reportedly agreed to a contract with the Ravens, perhaps not a big surprise considering their Offensive Coordinator was the one who drafted Beck in the first place.

They deserve each other and can have each other.

Maybe Beck can get Cameron fired from two jobs.

You'll all change your mind in 2 years when Beck is starting for the Ravens and the Ravens beat the Dolphins in the playoffs.

The only way Beck ever starts a game is if Flacco's arm falls off and they cannot surgically repair it.

^^^ Thanks, Brian...I haven't laughed that hard in a long damned time.

Here's my follow-up "chisel it in stone" prediction for John Beck:

When John Beck finally hangs up his NFL cleats for good and retires, he will have 10 or fewer total NFL starts and 3 or fewer total wins as a starter for his entire career.

(currently 4 total starts, 0 wins as starter)

You see this all the time, where a coach leaves, and then re-hires his old people that he had as a project.

Does it ever work out?

The closest I can think of off the top of my head is BB got fired for wanting Testiverde over Kosar.  He then brought him to the Jets (although BB wasn't the HC or even part of the offense) He was the starter for 2 years.  Granted he started after BB & BP left.

If Baltimore was smart, before they put Beck in there, they'd make a deal to bring back Kyle Boller. Wink

This is a particularly ironic question to come from a MIA fan.

Do you realize how many Dallas Cowboys are currently on the roster?

Where is that TDMMC forum member who had John Beck, Ted Ginn, and some other jabrone on his signature line, talking about "future AFC pro bowlers"? Buddy wherever you are out there I am thinking of you in this post.

I'm not just referring to anyone -- I'm talking about big name projects.  ...not just some scrub backup.

Same goes for coaches too.  When a new head coach comes along, he likes to bring "his guys" as assistants.
