Moss - 2009 offense could be better than 2007

Rhodes - Jets will have the #1 defense in the NFL

Ryan - I am not kissing Belichicks rings.

Porter - We are the reigning division champs so the AFCE goes thru Miami.

Crowder - Ryan is nuts.

I guess next up is the Bills.... Does TO have any radio appearances scheduled?

Porter has a big mouth .. but he's right .. to be the man .. you gotta beat the man.. and until that happens the dolphins are the division champs

Patriots- Early division favorite, assuming Brady can play well.
Dolphins- Defending champs but will have a much more difficult schedule.
Jets- Well, they're still the Jets.  They haven't won anything of importance in 40 years, they won't this year.
Bills- Yeah, you have TO, but you have nobody that can throw him the ball, and nobody who can keep the guy who can't throw him the ball upright.

we have a killer sked and the division is GREATLY improved, plus we're not going to sneak up on anyone like we did last year.

The schedule is going to be MUCH tougher.  We have to play the other 3 division winners who will not be easy, the NFC South none of those teams are guaranteed victories plus the AFC South or North I forget which, either way those games are going to be tough too.

I want to see something from this Coaching staff that they can adapt.  So many new coaches come in and it's balls out the first year, and then they just suck after that.  Something tells me that in the second year, other teams studying a full year of gamefilms catches up with them.

If Paul Pasqualoni hasn't made an improvement in his coaching and our secondary isn't any better, we could be in for a world of shit.

There's a lot of ways this team can be better, but more questions need to be answered first before I can say yeah we should be the prohibitive favorite.

Bills- Yeah, you have TO, but you have nobody that can throw him the ball, and nobody who can keep the guy who can't throw him the ball upright.

Here is how I see the division -- and the questions each team has.

Patriots -- won 11 games last year with a very serious case of the injury bug.  Brady coming back instantly make the team better.  Biggest question mark is Brady's health.  If Brady is 90%+ the team has a shot at a Lombardi and/or breaking 2007 records on offense, even w/o Brady they can compete for the division.

Jets - Biggest question mark is Sanchez.  If he can throw the ball half as well as Rex Ryan can jabber then the Jets will have a solid QB.  But who is he going to throw the ball to?  On defense the starters are extremely solid, best in the divsion, maybe in the league.  But zero depth.  Jets won 9 games with almost no injuries last year.  Any sort of injury bug hits the Jets and they could be a four win team.

Dolphins -- won the division by a hair, much of the teams success can be attributed to a gimmick play and the team having almost no injuries.  (I am not knocking the gimmick play anytime you can beat the Patriots by outcoaching Bill Belicheck you are doing something pretty amazing, but it was a gimmick play)  Problem with the gimmick play is it lost effectiveness as the season wore on and teams knew what was coming.  Can still be a useful part of the Dolphin's offense, but the Dolphins aren't going to win games by confusing a defense with it.  Dolphins didn't make any significant adds to the team nor lose anyone significant.  Depth is a problem.  Questions for Dolphins 1) does Dan Henning have a second ace up his sleeve?  2) can the dolphins stay healthy?

Bills -- TO joining the Bills is the most significant player pick up of any AFCE team. Losing Peters was probably the biggest loss of the off-season by any AFCE team.  If a Peterless offensive line can give Trent enough time to throw the ball then covering Evans and TO could be as much of a nightmare for a defensive coordinator as trying to cover Moss and Welker at the same time. Biggest question for the Bills is can the offensive line give Edwards time and is Edwards up to the task.

I know this will come as a complete surprise to people on this board, but you're on crack.

1:  You don't win 11 games on the strength of a gimmick play.
2:  Miami had it's share of injuries.  Again...what are you smoking?
3:  That "gimmick" play was never designed to go for 70 and a TD every time.  It was designed to average 4-5 yards per play.  Anything over that is gravy.  Season long it averaged over 6 and Baltimore completely shut it down in the playoffs.  ANY running play that averages 6 yards a carry is a success.  No one play "wins a division."

Try speaking objectively once in a while.

1.  Didn't win all 11 on the stength of the gimmick play.  But won a couple of games on that play.  It is certainly the reason for the win over NE.  Revese the outcome of that game MIA doesn't go to the playoffs.  Not saying the Dolphins would have repeated 2007 with 1-15 without that play, but would not have won 11 games either.

2. Miami has some injuries every team does every year.  But the Dolphins were one of the least injured teams in the NFL.   How many games did you have starters miss?

First off, a "gimmick play" would be something like the statue of liberty.  The Wildcat is a legitimate formation that many teams across the league have adopted since  Miami started using it.

As far as injuries go, Miami may have not had as many as other teams, but they were significant.  Both starting guards were lost for the year.  Our best WR was lost for the year.  Ronnie didn't even start really playing until 3 games into the season because of his injury the year before.

1:  Amazing!  The Dolphins deployed the wildcat during defensive situations as well against the Patriots??  I thought Ronnie Brown looked good covering Randy Moss, now that I think about it.  Or was this the NFL's first "only Miami gets the ball" game?  Believe it or not the Pats are able to be defeated and it doesn't take "trickery" to do it.

2:  Sure, sure.  Two members of the offensive line lost for the season.  No big deal.  A hodge podge of wide receivers due to our #1 being lost for the year.  Not a big deal though, you're right.

It's funny.  When the Patriots lose you come up with reasons why they lost.  When Miami wins you find excuses.  Huh.
