yeah, they had waaaaay too much money available under the cap, so they felt they had to waste a bunch of it on an overrated flash in the pan one-year-wonder QB.

^^^ Is that just general Patsies-hate, or did you watch him play at all last season?

I'm curious, because I would give up every QB on Miami's roster in a package for Cassel right now, no questions asked.

Chief have less money tied up in a QB that won 11 games in the NFL last year than the Lions or Jets have tied up in guys that might be able to transition to the NFL.

Just out of curiosity, who gets the blame if Cassel totally bombs in KC?

No hate, Cassel played his ass off last year "BUT" look at who he had around him. I know you are all going to say so hasent Brady!  But he hasent, he has showed in the past that he can do it without the Moss, Welker, etc.  Pats should have kept Cassel at the time, no one knew if Brady was going to be ok, we still dont.

Thats why I said that.  No one knows how Cassel will play without some of the best WR in the league.  I wish him the best hope he has a good year.

Let's see what Pioli can do.  Obviously it would be on him if Cassel bombs.  That's a LOT of friggin money to be paying a QB that only proved himself for one year and was in one of the best offensive systems in the NFL

It is less money than Sanchez or Stafford got!

And Cassel has done more to prove he can play in the NFL than either of those two.

And he had one of the best receiving tandems in the league to throw to, and one of the best offensive lines protecting him.

No thanks.

Matt Cassel = Olandis Gary/Mike Anderson/Reuben Droughns

Looks good one one team, gets a big payday elsewhere only to realize that he really sucks and looked good cause the rest of the team MADE him look good.

Matt Cassel is NOT - repeat - NOT a franchise QB.
