Although I'm really proud of the way that Miami hung tough against the Colts last night, there are still some things that pissed me off.
Jabril Wilson - Was this assclown drunk last night or something? Not only did he display some of the worst tackling that I've ever seen, he also took some angles when closing on runners that made me think he was chasing the wrong guy for crying out loud.
The last drive: What the hell is the deal when you get the ball with 3:15 left in the game at around your own 20 and you decide it is a good idea to run the ball 2 times in a row and kill a full minute off the clock? Okay, I can almost see running the ball on first down just in case you might catch the defense sleeping and rip off a 10 or 15 yard run. But to then turn around and run again on 2nd down? With no big play, down the field pass capability, the Fins could not afford to burn a full minute off the clock by running back to back running plays. Very poor game management there.
Manning: As mad as I was at how good he was last night, the guy is simply amazing. What a great QB. As soon as the Colts got the ball on their last drive, I knew they were going to score. They guy is just freaking golden. Not one bit of panic in that man. I actually said, "They are going to score so I hope they at least score quickly so the Fins get the ball back with some time on the clock." 30 seconds later, TD Colts.
The Ted Motherfarging Ginn Family: Granted the guy has had some good plays for the Dolphins and I'm tainted by the fact that I have disliked him since day one, so I probaby don't give him a fair shake. But having said that, it seems like the guy makes one or two important first downs every game, but other than that, all of his yardage is "garbage" yardage if you know what I mean. And although he had to go up in the air for it, he should have held onto that ball in the end zone on the last drive. A number one receiver needs to consistently make important, big plays.
Lastly, how the hell do you dominate the time of possession and put 239 rushing yards into the books and still freaking lose? Time of possession and rushing yardage are almost ALWAYS on the side of the winning team. Especially when your time of possession advantage is like 3 to 1 or something like that.
Thanks for providing a forum to vent.
