TDMMC has never had a fantasy basketball league, as the members on this site have always seemed to be much more interested in football and baseball (and rightfully so). That said, the game is pretty fun, if you have any interest in the NBA action. Yahoo offers a version of the game, and I was considering starting a league for TDMMC...but wanted to gauge the interest level before setting it up.

What say ye? Anyone up for fantasy hoops? If you have any questions about the league or general game strategy, post any questions and I'll try to answer them as best I can.

I know absolutely nothing about basketball, I hate basketball....but....I'm curious how the scoring system works and such.....If you have an odd number like nine and need a tenth...I'll be that Patsy to get slaughtered.....

Lil_B,

You can play h2h or roto versions, with the 8 or 9 categories being...

Points
Rebounds
Assists
Steals
Blocks
3-pointers
Field goal %
Free throw %
and if you go 9 cats...turnovers is the last one.

If it is h2h, you play weekly matchups and the person with the highest total rebounds wins that point for the week, highest assists wins that point, etc...

If it is roto, it all keeps stacking up the entire season and you get a numeric value for each category, based on your standing (1-10) in that category on the season.

One the one hand, I know virtually nothing about Basketball other tha how to play.

On the other hand, it couldn't be much worse than my FFL performance, if you get REALLY stuck, and need one more (and I mean REALLY, give me a shout).

^ Not sure if I could name every team in the league,not even sure how many teams there are in the league.....Haven't watched an entire NBA game in my entire life...The only Basketball games I've ever watched the entire thing,were the local women's college team when my Ex girlfirend used to drag me to the home games....So unless we're talking a fantasy league of College women players of the late 90's....I'm clueless...I know I couldn't name you 1 player on each team....

+ Will only play if there is 9 and need a 10th.....if another person plays,I'm out again......
