Alright everyone, what do you have?

Phillies - Dodgers

Yankees - Angels

Let's talk about what you think will go down in these two series.  Hold off on the World Series talk, let's focus on these two rounds only for now...

I think this is the year the Yankees finally overcome the Angels in the playoffs.  The Yankees simply have too much firepower right now for anyone to stop them.  Yankees in six.

As for the NLCS, both teams have the tendency to make clutch plays late in the game, so this will come down to whoever makes the most mistakes.  This is pretty shaky, but I'm taking the Dodgers in seven.

I'm still debating.

I have a weird feeling the Angles could win.  I stand by my statement that the Yankees SHOULD win...but after watching the Angels in action...well, they have a shot.

I'm going Yankees in seven.  But I will not be shocked if the Angels win it in five.

The Dodgers showed me something that I must have missed in the regular season.  The bullpen is really the nuts, isn't it?  That Sherrill pick up was huge!

In this case, however, I am going with the Champions.  Especially if Lidge is picking NOW to come around.  I say Phillies in six.

I believe the Yankees are going with a 3-man rotation in this series. I like the idea of CC for 1,4 & 7. That should give them hopefully two wins. That leaves Burnett and Pettite to come up a 7 inning quality start for 2 games between the games of 2,3,5 & 6  for the additional two wins.

It's imperative that the Yankees take the first 2 games at home. Yankees in 6.

Damn, the Phillies are pretty friggen' good. Cliff Lee is pretty friggen' good. Their lineup is pretty friggen' insane. Their bullpen is pretty friggen' unpredictable.

I'm sorry, I still don't believe in LA, unless Manny turns into the Incredible Hulk here. I'd like to see LA vs. NY, but I just can't believe that both of them will win here. One of them will gag.

Phillies in 5.

Yankees vs. my boy Rollins and the Phillies in the Series.

The Angels are going to make the Yankees look foolish. Mark my words.

Dodgers win the WS in 6.

Foolish would be sweeping them in 4, not winning in 6.

Angels - Dodgers.  Please God.

No.  Yankees-Dodgers.  That would bring back all the greats from the New York Yankees and Brooklyn Dodgers of the 40's and 50's.

I'm lighting candles for an Angels-Phillies WS with the Phils winning another title...

If Burnett and Pettite can pitch the way CC pitched last night, this series will be over very quickly.  I'm glad to see the Yankees draw first blood, but I'm not getting my hopes up.  The past two times we faced the Angels in the playoffs, we won game 1 and lost the series.

Wow, just WOW!!!!  Game 2 was an epic that will not be forgotten anytime soon.  It wasn't so much a pitchers duel as opposed to both teams not being able to take advantage of opportunities, but in the end, the Yankees benefited off the Angels mistakes.

2-0 and heading out to Cali.  It's going to be tough out there.  Matter of fact I think the series will be back in NY before it's over, but I'll be happy if they can take one game.
