Angels are toast... It now falls into the Phillies hands to defeat this Great Evil that threatens our world.

Angels ARE toast.  They will put up a fight tonight.  Ends in NY in 6.

That said...New York could be SCREWED if this thing goes 7.  Joe's decision to pitch CC on 3 days rest could end up biting him in the ass if this goes 7 games.  He won't be able to go until game 3 of the WS and possiby only pitch twice.  The Phillies, on the other hand, are able to line up their pitching exactly the way they want it.

If Angels -  NYY goes seven games I REALLY like Phillies chances of winning this thing.

You're sacrificing yourself for the greater good, Brian...nothing is more clean than that.

Having to choose between rooting for Philly or New York is like asking if you want your doctor to do a prostate exam with his fist or a plugged in curling iron.  No matter what you choose you won't feel like yourself ever again.

Nah...it's more like choosing to give a pass to a jaywalker, while prosecuting a serial rapist that has a pentagram tattooed on his forehead.

Having to choose between Boston and New York would match the fist/curling iron scenario fairly well though.

Not sure whether to throw up or start chanting "the power of christ compels you!" in Latin.

barring a pretty substantial collapse by NY it will be the Yankees against the Phillies in the world series.  I really wanted to see LA vs. LAAOCCAUSWHPE but that's alright.  It'll be just as entertaining.

No, but Sunstroke's self righteousness has.  Viva American League!  The crown, one way or the other, needs to come back to the real brand of baseball that people really want to see.  Not the JV league that managed to win it in a fluke last year.
Wink

GO ANGELS!  GO YANKEES!  GO BLACK ICE ON THE ROAD IN PHILLY!
