I don't decorate and I don't dress up.

Side note, in college I once threw a party on Halloween (but not a Halloween party) and forgot what night it was. I mistakenly left the front light on for my guests and a little know came att he door. I felt so embarrassed at what I had done. I had to get a snack cake out of the kithcen for the kid.

We have a pretty good setup in our yard.  If it ever stops raining I will be able to put it up this year.

There were people in my mom's neighborhood when I was a kid that used to convert their entire house and yard into a haunted house with people jumping out of closets and headless people on the floor, the whole 9.  Its was crazy - they had every kid in the neighborhood walking through their home.

My wife decorates the inside of our house for every holiday, but I put restrictions on how far it goes.  (At least she lets me think I do -- she probably just does whatever she wants.)

Right now, she has a few dangling spiders, a pumpkin light, a witch candle holder, and a candy dish with a zombie hand in it.  ...pretty minor.

I don't holiday-decorate "anything."

That said, in the little town of Sanford, Maine, there is a lady who lives in a mobile home right on one of the small lumber roads, and she goes nuclear apeshit for every single holiday. She has to have "tens of thousands" of different decorations for different holidays, and the exterior of her home and the yard (dirt) are basically covered in little knick knacks and cardboard cutouts for "whatever" holiday is coming next. The moment she takes down the 1000 or more pieces of Halloween deco...up goes Thanksgiving. The day the Turkey shit comes down...up goes Santa.

I wanted to gag every time I drove past her house...

Hells, yes.  Love me some Halloween.  And with Abby in the fold, my wife is outnumbered and can't say no anymore!

I don't but my girlfriends friend does. He has the house and the inside of the house decorated in a lot of stuff like talking severed heads, laughing/dancing skulls and similar stuff to that. He seems to have personal enjoyment for scaring the daylights out of the kids when they come to the front door (I think I was overhearing something about a crying kid counter).

I personally am not a "fan" of Halloween. I am actually not a fan of horror stuff (though I will willingly go through zombie survivor games with no problem) like the movies and parties with the intent to scare everyone. I think it has something to do with me being able to do something about the situation where I have more control over it. In Resident Evil games, though I know there are scare situations put into the game but at least you are able to kill or disrupt the threat and get back to a little normalcy. Eternal Darkness didn't creep me out so much and they had monsters and magic incantations throughout the game in the first place. I cant watch movies.

Sorry, went a little off topic.

Wyvern--- you don't? YOU don't?

Hmmm. You didn't even ask your GF!

Just wait and see, we will, or _I'll_ be decorating our place.

As soon as we're all moved in to the new place it will look lovely and I'll start collecting some stuff for holidays - although nice, tasteful and not overboard in the slightest. And I don't like the scary decos, more like the Autumn or cute stuff ones' moms would like. We may even be able to decorate for Xmas this year (I know I'm putting out my Charlie Brown "dead" tree-hehe.) If not, maybe Valentine's. I know decorating for Valentine's Day is evil, but many people turn to the dark lovey side someday. :-D

As for my friend, he pretty much buys all the cool stuff and cleans out (JK) stores like Spirit, or online or neat catalogs ... He goes on after-holiday sale hunts. The collection grows every year.

And you forgot to mention all the inflatables! He must work on setting up a haunted house in the back yard.

Last year for Valentine's he had gone evil. Decorated. Haha.

Unfortunately this year he had some expensive stuff stolen. :-(

But you can see the year-round knick-knacks on the walls of the house and know they're probably that type. I would never go near to that extent - don't worry.
