I find myself somewhat pulling for New England, too.  I still have pride in the undefeated season of the Dolphins.  I also feel that we're not going to win the Super Bowl this year, regardless, and if we are going to make the playoffs, it's going to come through us running the table, and not for getting help along the way.

first of all, my hatred of all new england teams comes first. second, they did not match anything, the record was never broken, as the pats did not win the super bowl. therefore they did not go undefeated. the record still stands. an undefeated deason consists of a team actually going undefeated. that includes the super bowl.the pats did not.

Notice in my above post I  said "Undefeated regular season record"?
Yes, they did match that. They went undefeated in the regular season.

They went undefeated in the regular season.

Nobody does or ever has cared about an undefeated "regular season".  The record has always been an "undefeated season", without caveats.  It's even more important, because you can't get through the playoffs because of a weak division and an easy schedule in one year.  It takes away the element of luck.

Why? So the Saints don't go undefeated?

Screw the "undefeated regular season record", its already been matched by another team once already.

I'd rather the Saints win this game to help the CURRENT Fins team out, as far as standings go.

WORD

I used to care about the undefeated regular season, 'cause up until NE, no one had ever done that either. Now all Miami has left is an undefeated season record. Even though New England didn't win the Super Bowl they're still the only team to go undefeated in a 16 game schedule (which is pretty impressive IMHO).

With a few 18-1 records out there, it's only a matter of time...

I can see both the Colts and Saints losing mainly due to "Any given Sunday" and "You can't win 'em all."

Reggie Bush and Jonathan Vilma were both limited in practice according to NFL.com.  No big deal concerning Bush, who is only good in space, but life will suck if Vilma sits.  He was a beast against us per usual.  Pats are solid if they can get the running game going and make a few stops.  The Saints thrive on one unit picking up for the others...if the O doesn't score, the D or ST will put a game away.  I'm taking the Pats and if they don't win then the better for us.

Over/under on Saints is 56, FYO.  How gross is that?

^^ exactly.  They don't need to stop them, they just need to outscore them.  The best defense is a good offense.  This was how the Patriots of 2007 won.  This is how the Rams of 1999 won.  It will be a shootout Monday night.

I don't know which team is going to win, but take the over.  Final score could be 84-82.

I'm steering clear of this game, completely. I think the Cards had a few over/unders in that range last season, so it's not totally insane. And, realistically, would anyone be surprised at something like a 35-27 final score? Both teams "only" scoring in the 20s sounds unlikely. I'm guessing the only way this one stays "under" is if the Patriots dominate.

The Saints and Colts will both lose in week 12.

You heard it here first.

The Patriots can and will hang with Brees and the boys I expect it to be a nailbiter where the team with the ball last wins.

Saints 38
Patriots 41

The Colts travel to Houston to face the teams that ALWAYS plays them tough.  The same team who, three weeks earlier, missed a 42-yard field goal with time expiring that would have tied the game in THEIR HOUSE.

Colts 20
Texans 27

Yeah - I took a stab.  If I'm wrong, I'm crazy.  Big deal.  But if I'm right, I'm genius.  Low risk, high reward.

I agree completely and i WANT both teams to go 18-0 for the Super Bowl (I don't want 18-1 and a perfect "regular" season. Wake me up when you're on my block Smiley
