I'll straight up admit that I loved it when Alabama made Tebow cry...and I HATE Alabama.  I wanted to freeze Tebow's tears and skate on them, then melt them down and drink them.  I can't stand the Gators or Tebow.  Why hate on Tebow?  He's too perfect, and it doesn't help that the media washes his balls all the time.  He probably deserves all the attention, but it just pisses me off that every time he throws a pass to Riley Cooper, the announcers have to comment that they are roommates.  Not really a good reason to not like a player huh?  Call it jealousy if you want (which I'll straight up admit, it probably is), but FSU fans aren't the only ones hating on Tebow.

Another reason I hate the Gators, and why I love to see them lose, is that Tampa is filled with Gators.  I go to a sports bar not 2 miles away from USF campus, and they have the Gator game on the big screen, with sound, and the USF game is in the corner somewhere on a dinky ass T.V.  Not to mention half of USF students are ALSO Gator fans.  Sure, I actually used to be a Gator fan, but I abandoned that when I started going to USF.  I walk around campus, and there are fuckers wearing UF gear...at USF!  Do you think there is one person wearing anything else other than Orange and Blue at UF?  Last time I checked, these people were going to USF (who are in a BCS conference), not UF.

Don't get me wrong...I hate FSU and the Canes too, but the Gators really needed to be knocked off their high horse.

In full disclosure, I'm a Gators fan.  I'm not hardcore.  I didn't go to school there, and I'm fair-weathered to only care when they're good. 

That explains why you can't understand how F$U fans can relish in the defeat of a bitter rival. I'm a dieheard Gator fan and everytime F$U or Miami losses im like a pig in slop. A great Saturday of college football to me is a GATOR win and losses by F$u, Miami, Jawga, and Tenn. You always wish for your rivals to lose.

Dave, F$U has been chomping at the bit to release some excitement this year, because their own team provided very little. The gators have beaten F$U six times in a row and the last 3 the games were over by halftime. They're jealous because Urban Meyer has done  everything they said couldn't be done in regards to running the spread in the SEC.  They said  he couldn't win after Ron ZOOK'S RECRUIT left.


They're jealous because the gators A.D Jeremy Foley fired Ron zOOK AFTER 2.5 YEARS and hired a proven winner in meyer. You think F$U fans wished their A.D had gotten rid of bowden 5 years ago. While the gators have been winning championships and kicking their ass on the field and on the recruiting trail, they've been a sinking ship. Why do you think they meyer to go to NOTRE DAME, because as long as he's coaching the gators they're in trouble.


I'M bummed out just like most gator fans are about last saturday, but i wouldn't trade our run for anything. Also, if college football think the gators are just going to fall of the map because tebow is leaving, they're not. We're going to be loaded for years to come. Let F$U laugh at our expense,  because they will soon realize Gumbo fisher isn't the answer and they will continue to be the laughing stock of college football.

Dreams crushed?  The guy is arguably the greatest college football player of all time, was the first sophomore to win the Heisman and already has two national titles.  I think he's had his share of dreams come true.

There is no crying in football, and all who do are subject to ridicule.

I wouldn't be so sure.  Now that the coaching dilemma is settled, FSU has started to pick up some top notch recruits.  Stole Jeff Luc from the Treasure Coast.... a hard hitting linebacker that had previously committed to the Gators.

I'm a die hard Gator fan and I don't care whether FSU loses as long as they lose when they play Florida. In fact there are times when I root for FSU because I'm a bit of a homer and like to see the FL schools do well. Same goes for USF, UM, FAU, etc.

^^^^ That's the way it should be. I'm fortunate in that I didn't go to any of the schools ... other than to party and see friends ... so I'm a fan of all.  I alo root for our rivals in the NFL when they aren't playing us. I always want for my division/state/etc to do well  if we aren't.

I do understand the rivalry.  I'm not a retard.  ...and like I said, there are teams that I hate in the NFL, namely the Jets, as much as anyone hates the Gators.

That said, I don't call up my friends that like the Jets when they lose a big game.  I don't make Facebook groups about Mark Sanchez's inadequacies. 

It's not even the fact that people route against Florida.  I get that.  It's that after the Gators lose, how everyone comes out of the woodwork to gloat about it.
