"I don't think I understand the question."

Ricky certainly does not look like a 32-year-old in that video.  He looks almost uncomfortable, but with a hint of "Is that a serious question?"

I like how he said that.  A second time, he asked "What was the question?"  The reporter was kind of rambling on and not really asking anything specific for Ricky to answer.  He does look uncomfortable, though.

He keeps telling people he isn't comfortable with people (hence the pot) but no one believes him.

Who doesn't believe him?  It's obvious now and it was obvious then.

Just like Dan's comment ... there are a million more comments out there that poke fun of Ricky in all of his interviews. Every time he does an interview people attack him for not being a great interviewee etc. They also make fun of his drug use. Most people do not realize Ricky has an extremely high anxiety disorder or just refuse to accept it.

He keeps telling people he isn't comfortable with people...

Is that code for "I am an A-hole", because that is the way he comes across much of the time.  The questions are pretty freaking simple, just answer them and go home.

The last year or two I kept hearing about how smart he is, maybe they meant to say smart-ass.  None of those questions were particularly rude, and even if they were just give a short nothing answer and move on.

It was pretty obvious that some of these reporters were trying to put words in his mouth by telling some long ass story and hoping he would just say yes. If you want rickys opinion ask for it, don't give him your opinion and hope he just says yes.

^^^ Marking on calendar "the day I agreed with something that Tepop said"

I think if a player tells the media a hundred times that he's just not into talking to people, they should get a freakin' clue and go interview someone else. If Ricky wants to talk to the world, he knows how to use his phone, email, twitter and facebook well enough to do that without being in a situation where his social anxiety issues come into play.

Tepop is exactly right.  Questions like "Is Henne still playing like a rookie?" felt somewhat loaded in that context.  By saying "no", you're still admitting that he, at one time, played like a rookie.

Dave to furthur explain my point.  Doc-Phin obviously doesn't get and USO acts like it's the drugs.  I think most people don't get his disorder at all.

1st question - How much does it weigh on you knowing that you haven't won more than two games in a row and now you have to make a playoff run?

2nd question - How much attention do you pay to other running backs, particularly in regard to Chris Johnson and the year he is having?

3rd question - In relation to the confidence you seem to be building as an offense, could you talk a little about what you have seen from Chad and the progression of these receivers?

4th question (was truly not well stated the first time, but was corrected) - Is there anything you are doing different to take care of your body now that you are taking more carries?

5th question - Now that Chad is 7-3 as a starter, does he still look to you like a first year starter? (He answered this one with no hesitation, BTW)

6th question - What can you say about what the offensive line has done especially in regards to all the moving parts and injury issues being adjusted for?

You decide, are these loaded questions?  Even if you don't have an opinion about the questions, how hard is it to say that you don't really have an opinion about what someone else is doing and that you are focused on what you are doing?  The audio is difficult to hear so I understand that it may appear the reporters are being malicious, but they really are not.

As far as having a nervous disorder.  Has he been diagnosed?  Even if he does, there are times when he seems to have no problem giving an answer.  IMO - he just doesn't like the media (not that I can particularly blame him after what they did to him over the pot incident).  But these questions were standard questions and he should consider either declining the interview or giving short generic answers.  His body language tells me he just likes F-ing with the interviewers (again just my opinion).

Keep in mind that this is the same guy that gave an interview wearing a helmet (and that was before the pot incident).

I think it's fair to say his disorder is genuine.

On a side note, I heard an interview with a film director, describing the process of interviews themselves.  He said that, since you have so many interviews, and the questions are always the same:  1) You know the questions before they ask them and 2) They know the answers before you give them.  In essence, it's like a live action play that you have to carry out, because you have to act like you're genuinely excited to give them answers.

That makes sense to me.

It just looks like Ricky isn't capable of feigning that excitement.  Also, I'm not saying that these aren't fair questions.  It's just that the guy talks a lot before he asks Ricky to respond, and sometimes it's unclear what he's asking.
