Henne must wear concrete cleats.  He has no touch on his long ball, and absolutely no ability to scramble for first downs on broken plays.  22 yards rushing in 12 games is an embarrassment.

I have to agree with Tepop here.

Opponents don't fear Henne taking off out of the pocket. I've seen plays were he could have easily had about 12 yards and then slide.

I think the hardest thing for a young NFL quarterback to do is to develop touch if he has a strong arm. It took John Elway about 11 years to master throwing the ball at different speeds. The late David Woodley actually threw harder than Marino and none of Miami's receivers in warm ups wanted to catch his passes.

The only quarterback that I know that could throw every kind of pass at different velocity and speeds is Dan Marino. The assortment of passes he threw in his first two years was just amazing. He's the one that invented throwing the ball to the opposite shoulder.

Now I may get crucified for this but I think that Tyler Thigpen would be a better quarterback for the Dolphin offense. He can throw the long ball, touch passes and plus, he can run.

If the Dolphins passing game does not pick up next year with a few more pieces, then its safe to say that Henne will be a good backup. He's got to have that receiver that can make big plays before the jury comes back with the verdict.

Tom Brady........................ ..40 yards over 14 games
Philip Riviers...................... .51 yards over 14 games
Peyton Manning.................(13) yards over 14 games

QBs don't run for it.  They pass.  Don't be ridiculous.

^^ Tepop looks for any excuse to bash Henne.  I don't even know why you guys are addressing his random rant du jour.

I won't crucify, but I will disagree vehemently.  Henne (despite what you and Tepop think) has shown plenty in his 11 starts, and he continues to get more production out of his receivers.

Fair enough, though you do realize Henne's passed for over 300 yards twice in the last 3 weeks, right?

300 yards on 52 and 44? Attempts is not something to brag about.

^^^Who bragged?  The point is he's gotten more production out of the passing game.  True, or false?

6 yards per catch average? Not great, but about the same as the stats I posted on the other page. Would you have had that QB fired as well with those numbers?

What would make you say 'Yeah, I like Miami's QB?"

manning was coming on to a team that was bad enough to get the first pick of the draft.  henne was coming on to a playoff team.  real fair to compare their stats.

^^^Manning (1998) came to a team featuring Marvin Harrison (1996), and the following year, he had Edgerrin James (1999)  The problem wasn't on offense.  The Colts were awful on defense back then.  Henne has no such receiver that he can trust to get open again, and again, and again, and again.  Indeed, it's an unfair comparison.  To Henne.

Lest ye forget that when Henne was drafted 2 years ago this team was a #1 overall draft pick as well.  Conveniently forgot that did you?

When are you going to stop hating and CHEER for your team (assuming you're actually a Dolphins' fan, which is debatable)? Some people just aren't happy unless they have something to complain about!

who cares about 2 years ago when last year they made the playoffs with 11 wins before Henne got there.  Bringing up edgerrin james is pretty much retarded since we were comparing first year starter numbers.

what;s the difference what they did last year? that's just as "retarded" as bringing up Edgerrin James.  The ONLY difference between Henne and Manning you can claim is that Henne was a backup for 1 season because the Dolphins had a servicable starter in Pennington.

The Dolphins strength of schedule last season was the easiest in the league.  This season, its the toughest in the league.  If your next sentence is going to tell me that this doesn't matter, then I'm done trying to reason with you.
