I tried setting my team today in the NFL challenge, and it is downright painful.  I think we should all join Sunstroke's ESPN one as well.

ESPN's is pretty easy to work with...I set my first week's roster in about 2 minutes this morning.

Here is the info to join:

So I don't understand the benefit of picking value (cheap) guys.  The cap seems pretty forgiving.  If the player value goes up, does your cap go up too?

No, but you can lock the player in at the lower figure, and keep that lower figure if his salary goes up.

Example... you start GB TE Jermichael Finley this week at his salary of $4.6. Jermichael lights up AZ in the first round, going for 150 yds and 2 TDs. When you go to set your roster next week, Jermichael Finley is definitely not going to be $4.6 salary any more...he'll probably be around $5.1. If you had him on your roster for week one though, you can keep him locked at $4.6 for the next round (and technically, all subsequent rounds, as long as GB survives).

You are right though...the salary cap in this game is very lenient.

^^^^^

Are the rules the same as last year where the players are locked after the Championships?

Is everyone here in the NFL.com group?
