Being from New Jersey I get to see Mark Sanchez every week. I also see every Dolphins Game Via the direct TV package.
I may be bias but i would take Henne Hands down over Sanchez, and I think Henne will be a better pro QB then Sanchez.
What do you guys think?

I am biased as well but I agree with you.  I don't see much that I like out of Sanchez.  But, I watch Henne much more closely.

I don't think either of them will be Peyton Manning, but I think Henne could be Carson Palmer/Ben Roethlisberger.

Tougher question than many might think, imo... I like Henne quite a bit, but I also like Sanchez a lot. I'd probably go with Henne, just so I can continue to track his helmet-tightness ratio as his career develops.

I think it's Expectations....Sanchez,the Jets traded so much to trade up to draft him,and anointed him starter from Day one (I should say Savior)...He's from the vaunted USC,and there is no wiggle room for him to be a rookie QB.The Jet's needed better Wr's,they went and made a trade for Braylon Edwards....The Jets, with their spending spree last offseason, are playing the "One Player Away Mentality".  Then they say here kid we need you to go win a Ball game,While learning the speed of the NFL...Not to forget to mention,He's a top 5 Pick, being paid  big Bucks to perform....

Henne,He's a second round pick, the Pressure was on Pennington. The Coaching staff got to wok With Henne,Get him up to speed more slowly. They've slowly been Tailoring the offense to his needs (Also taking into effect the loss of Ronnie Brown) Henne isn't making squat, especially when compared to a starting QB....

I think it's too early to judge....Henne's got the advantage of coaching, and Breaking into the league slowly, less pressure...Sanchez has better talent around him....

I never was impressed with Sanchez at USC, as that team was so stacked, he rarely threw to anyone who was covered.

I think Henne has a much better arm, he just needs to read defenses a bit better, but that can be said about any rookie. His lack of quality receivers also hurt him. When he was drafted, I was not sold on Henne and figured him to be a career backup, but now I feel he can be a very good NFL QB. Pennington's mentoring has helped him a ton and shows what a class guy he truly is. I would love for him to have a job in the organization when his career is over.

Sanchez is better than I thought he would be, but I just don't think I can compare until we get a true #1 receiver.  I want to say I would give the edge to Henne because he seems to have done more with less while not being quite the turnover machine that Sanchez has been.  Sanchez also seems like he can be a little more fragile minded than Henne.

So who would I rather have?  Henne, due to a fairly equivalent passing ability but better mindset to get through the tough stuff.

Who has better upside?  Henne, since he is limited in his receiving options.

Sanchez is just a bit of a wildcard.  He could just as easily be boom or bust.

So we should ask you how you feel about Sanchez' career prospects next season as well, just to see if that's changed as well?

I think a Miami Dolphins chat board is definitely the wrong place to look for an objective opinion on a Jets player... The results will always be skewed by Phins-loyalty, even on a subconscious level.

Sanchez started better than I think anyone would've guessed, but he has fallen back hard like almost any rookie would. He truly is an enigma, and I don't think playing in NY is going to help him that much considering the expectations.

I just don't trust USC Quarterbacks in the NFL, with Palmer being the exception. Anytime you come from a stacked system, it's hard to succeed in the NFL. It's why I don't think Tim Tebow will amount to much in the NFL.

Henne has the bigger arm and the benefit of Chad Pennington tutoring him.  Say what you want for Pennington, but there aren't too many people who out-prepare or out-work the guy.  Henne makes some dipshit throws, but he's also only played about 9 games.

I don't see the big arm with Sanchez, I don't see anything that tells me he's got the goods but who knows?  We were second-guessing Henne prior to a couple weeks ago as well.

I imagine most everyone on this board will say Henne, and I imagine most everyone on a Jets board would say Sanchez.

So they're probably about even.

I'm from jersey and get to see sanchez all the time.  Furthermore, I watch the dolphins non-stop for my wife and for fasano being from his neighborhood.  I can't even believe this is a thread.

Get some recievers around henne and this won't be a thought in a year.  The upside to henne is more than sanchez at this point.  Sanchez is pitiful.

Henne is clearly better than Sanchez. Even when the Jets started out hot, it was in spite of Sanchez, not because of him.

Keep in mind that, as much as we like to refer to Henne as a "first-year starter," this is his second year in the league.  Sanchez did not have the benefit of holding a clipboard and studying behind a quality QB for a year; he came in and was thrown to the wolves.  So let's not dismiss the kid so quickly.
