With Tennessee now eliminated from the playoffs, Houston has something to play for.  Ditto for Pittsburgh if they beat Baltimore tomorrow.

Tough game, but Dolphins win.

We'll find new and creative ways to screw things up...(Or people will just bitch and whine the NFL hates the Dolphins..Same difference..)

Dolphins lose 31-30 we fail to get into field goal range and turn the ball over on downs with 23 seconds left on the clock No timeouts....

I may be the only one, but I'm seriously surprised the Dolphins are favored to win this game. Houston is the better and hotter team. Steve Slaton is (was) overrated as a running back, so his absence doesn't hurt as much as some seem to think -- and Andre Johnson is one of the hottest wide receivers in the league right now. Fortunately, the Texans lack a good pass-catching tight end, but I'm just not sure if we have anyone capable of stopping Johnson.

Houston's pass D isn't great, but I'm just not convinced it's a good matchup for the Dolphins. Much like us, the Texans' biggest deficit on D is containing tight ends. Haynos and Fasano... yeah, I'm not sold.

Their D-line is underrated. They don't get the gaudy sack totals, but the front four get a lot of push and routinely bring down the runner behind the line of scrimmage. I think Ricky's going to have a lot of problems if Sparano/Henning don't get some misdirection or other creative plays going. I think a simple sweep from the unbalanced line (the one we used in the original Wild Cat) could do a lot of damage. Or maybe with some serious pulling from Smiley. Here's a hint: Run AWAY from Mario Williams...

To win, we're gonna have to throw the ball. I wouldn't be surprised to see another 40 pass game from Henne... This time, I just hope we actually score in the red zone. If we run, I really think it needs to be a creative lineup or a misdirection play. Straight up running is going to get us KILLED in the red zone. Mark my words.

I'm really looking forward to this game. The Dolphins have never beaten the Texans and I really do think they're the better team right now. We don't have a whole lot of home field advantage (at least not in December), so it'll come down to Sparano/Henning putting together a solid game plan. It's going to be interesting to watch how it all comes together.
