JTEX, what is that retarded link you're using?

It's called a "shortened URL". It's used on Twitter and Facebook to preserve character limits.

And it's completely retarded, as TonyB0D said. You have no idea what kind of nasty crap you're clicking on -- not without installing bit.ly's plugin to allow previewing of shortened URLs, anyway.

On a forum where there is no character limit, it's COMPLETELY stupid.

I don't see anyone else bitching about it. Maybe it's just you?

If we want to take a survey I was concerned about it myself.

Even "flat" roofs aren't really flat.  They are just given that appearance.  It's probably pitched slightly, but you just can't tell from the picture.
if its made out of canvas to allow filtered light to go through, I can see the canvas sagging and collecting water, getting dirty, etc.  Just looks bad, IMO

I don't foresee canvas as an option. Too much treatment to keep it waterproofed. I think it will be a hard surface.

I would think a hard surface would be difficult to remove in the event of a hurricane.  A Canvas could be rolled up and stored pretty easily.

I argued my position. Nice 5th grade rebuttal there.

As long as it's not clear, it will be cooler.  It's already unbearably hot as it is.  This will definitely cool it down.

If its glass or plastic, how could it cool it down? Greenhouse effect.

It would keep the heat in.  Since hot air rises, it would be unbearable.  The "clearness" wouldn't block any sun, and it wouldn't allow the hot air to escape, but rather it would collect and what little breeze there is would never touch anyone.

The only way this works is if it is opaque and provides shade over the seats.
