Has anyone seen this?

I have heard so many good things about this show, but have not watched yet.  It sounded like a soap opera to me.  I finally decided to give it a shot, and though I'm only 2 episodes in -- HOLY CRAP -- this is a great show.

It is about Texas High School football and how the school is tied to the community and the churches.  It's not over-dramatized and the football stuff is realistic and downplayed, from what I've seen so far.

I don't normally like this kind of stuff, but it's shot like a movie and is so incredibly well done, that I recommend trying it.  It's on Netflix Watch Instantly.

As bizarre as this sounds, based on my trend of loving any media that involves football, but I really didn't like this show much at all. I tried going a few episodes into it, but it just didn't grab me.
