Is it just me or was that the lamest ending to a game in a long time?

I know the odds aren't exactly in your favor down 13 points with just over a minute to go, but it's POSSIBLE. You quarterback has been playing fairly well and, let's face it, who gives a shit if he throws an INT. The worst possible scenario is that you lose and that's what you do when you don't even try.

I'd be mad as hell if the Dolphins did that in a big game.

though i truly admire the fight that got them there, i really think the  pre-mature "AFC CHAMPIONS"
gear, on the website was a bit much. bad karma killed them when they got too ahead of themselves. gotta win it first, boys! phillies made that mistake too.

Absolute best outcome for the season.....

Result of 2009 Jets season
No title (Division, Conference or League)
Lower draft pick
Final Four restrictions in free agency in event of uncapped year.

America's team

Hmmmmmm......

Was it arrogance or confidence? Take your Jet blinders off and realize that this coach had the team believing they could beat anyone. They did a hell of a job and had the Colts shitting their pants in the first half today.

Had it been Miami doing the same things you would be all for it.

Do you really think anyone other than Jets fans were thinking Payton wasn't going to take over in the second half just like he had done to end the half? Personally I was surprised Sanchez played as well as he did. I was waiting for him to blow up every time he touched the ball so I wasn't surpised they didn't score in the second half.  This whole season has been about seond halves for some reason.

Just a follow up, because I got laughed at a little in the preseason...

Remember what I said prior to the draft...I begged for SF to grab Sanchez, and when the Jets did instead, I shook my head, as I "know" that Sanchez is going to be a successful NFL QB, and I hate to see the Jets get better.

I know Dolphins fans don't want to hear this, but this Jets squad has a shitfest of young talent at the skill positions. Sanchez, Shonn Green, Dustin Keller, Jerricho Cotchery, etc... to go with a very solid O-line. Their defense, with Calvin Pace, Bart Scott, Darrelle Revis, Kerry Rhodes, etc... has a lot of talent as well. Anyone who thinks the Jets are gonna be pushovers this year are in for a rude surprise.

it was a little of both.   although theres nothing wrong with that. i actually got a kick out of the jets doing good. i did a total 180 after the san diego win.i think they gave it a hell of a shot. my hats off to them. but the problem was not my jet blinders, but thier jet blinders. rule number one in sports: never get ahead of yourself, and take one game at a time. according to the jets, they already won the super bowl. and that has a tendency of pissing the other guys off. they got too far ahead of themselves.

Personnel wise, the Jets are light years ahead of the Dolphins. People say that Sanchez benefited from a defense. Who wouldn't? His job was not to make many mistakes and at times, I was impressed by the way he handled things.

People don't like Rex Ryan but I think that he's a breath of fresh air. I get tired of seeing stodgy head coaches with the same old cliches (i.e. Sparano). At least Ryan hasn't found a camera or a mic that he didn't like.

And Sanchez still isn't very good.  I don't know why you think an I told you so should be applied here.

Tepop...Sanchez is a lot better than you're giving him credit for, but you being off-base on player assessment is no longer a newsflash situation around here.

That post was mainly to point out that not everyone thought the Jets would suck this season...and they didn't suck at all.

Now, kindly go bugger yourself. Grin
