Any questions? Guess who's in? Chester Taylor!

If you want to win, please keep Peterson on the sidelines.

One yard runs impress you?

THIRD fumble....LMFAO!

If a one yard TD run trumps 3 fumbles then I should be an NFL running back.

I didn't say I was impressed.  I was saying they did not keep him on the bench.

25 for 122 with 3 td's and two fumbles that were not lost. So I would say he had a great game as his two mistakes did not hurt the team by turning into points.
I would say Favre's fumble for a loss and int in their own territory in OT hurt the team more.

What INT in overtime? Favre never touched the ball in overtime.

And anyone who thinks Favre fumbled is either blind or an idiot. The running back completely blew it, lowering his "top" arm way too soon, hitting the ball out as Favre did what a quarterback is supposed to do -- stick the ball in the gut. RB 101: When getting the ball, you should have your QB-side arm chest heigh. Not navel heigh...

(And who brought Favre into this discussion? You don't think permiates the news and discussions enough as is?)

Regardless, when evaluating a player, fumbles should be treated the same regardless of who got possession. With the exception of failed snaps, fumble recovery is statistically RANDOM. If you're trying to figure out if a player sucks or not, you need to look at fumbles, regardless of RANDOM recovery rate.

That fumble on the hand off to Peterson was AP's fault. I think AP is a little overrated.

Dude please!! Stats don't tell the real story. Go ask viking fans if he had a great game. When the coach has to bench you in the most important game of the season because you can't hold onto to the ball you stunk that day. Part of being a great back is securing the football. As big and strong as he is he fumbles to easy. The hit that pierre Thomas took in OT as he jumped over the pile to get the first down was 10 times harder than any hit Peterson took. He had a fair game bordeline distarious.

That was the knock on him coming out of college. If you hit him hard enough consistently, he would cough up the ball. The nickname that he had in college was "Vicks 44".

My mistake, I meant the INT with less than a minute to go in the game and almost in the redzone in a tied a game.

You mean the int on 3rd and 15 with 19 seconds to go, ball at the 38 (not exactly red zone), where he was flushed out of the pocket and threw a desperation heave?

Yeah, that was a bad pass. It was. Not being sarcastic. Even though it was 3rd down and outside field goal range, I think it's a situation where you go for it on 4th down. Even if the Vikings don't get the first down (and thus a shot at a field goal), the Saints have probably less than 15 seconds left from their own 38. Although I'm not sure the typical CYA NFL coach would do it, the situation would seem to warrant going for it on 4th... and THAT makes Favre's "decision" a bad one.

Favre had room to run the ball. Going on fourth down didn't need to be an option. They only needed to gain a few yards and try the field goal. It isn't like they needed to go the entire 15 yards. Hell they were actually in a position they could have tried a 50 yarder before the penalty. I don't see why going for it on fourth down is such a discussion.

I did not say red zone, I said close, and all they needed were a few yards to be in legitimate field goal range.

But once again Favre throws the game winning INT in the playoffs to end the season.
