2011 NFC East Champions!

I thought Chad Henne was awesome for calling out that over-hyped bum Tebow on what is really going to happen in the NFL the next 3 years.

But then the sissy goes and retracts his opinion. His own personal opinion. What a bunch of crap. Sissy. I hate you. You're a bum QB who will suck as much as Tebow sucks.

This one made me laugh. I wondered why no one brought up the retraction yet.

I did a while ago in the Other Henne thread.

He better watch his mouth. He's not good enough to be talking shit about people. At least Joey Porter ca$hed the checks he wrote.

meathead has no touch!!! Or apparently any conviction? tough s.o.b. big/ has a cannon. Could b solid but needs protection and playmakers(who doesnt right) not gonna make any 1 better. Could have built team around 'matt ryan' and found a very good l.t. in 2nd. Assbackwards but a definate improvment over yrs. past. could b like a brady or horny ben but those r great teams w/ receivers and D.

If it makes you feel any better, JTex, this isn't Henne saying this.  It's his handlers.  He probably got a tongue lashing from coaches/management and was forced to make a statement.

It doesn't do the Dolphins any good to sour any relationship with UF or their fans (or even fans of Tebow).  It just wasn't a smart statement, financially or in terms of drama.  Although a retraction doesn't really matter.  You can't un-say it.

Forgot about the UF connection. Good point.

It actually makes me feel worse if it was in fact a "forced" statement. It doesn't matter whether he's good or not, I like that he said that he wasn't an NFL QB. And, technically, that's true (he's not drafted yet). It's not like called Tebow names or defamed him. He just stated that he wouldn't be an NFL QB. There has been much worse spoken by even less important players in the past.

It depends on what you do.

I work in a business and I can't talk shit publicly about other people in my same business who suck.  It's bad form, reflects poorly on me, and damages relationships -- even if it's true.

As a football player, Henne's job is to play well and make comments about his own team and their mission -- not to evaluate players coming out of college.  It just does him no good.

Exactly , and I think it relates to almost every type of employment.  And even if it is done, its usually by a veteran or a person that has earned respect and a right to speak.  Henne himself might not be a starting QB this year. He needs to STFU.

This is why you should teach your kids never to wear their football helmets plastered to their skull as bad as Chad Henne does.
