I was rooting for Beck ... still kind of am ... but this made me laugh.

Strong-armed, veteran QB who brings experience to the Ravens’ QB corps

Talk about spin doctoring!!

Hey, when your other positive bullet points include a career 3 to 1 interception to TD ratio and a 1.3 yard rushing average, you either spin or you leave the damned page blank. There definitely should be a bullet point in there of "Expert at staring into headlights."

LOL!  Thats what made me laugh to! My god what a colossal waste of a high round draft pick. Its a miracle this team is as decent as it is. I really think if we have 1 more strong draft we are going to turn a corner and start putting that draft behind us.

While I am not suggesting anyone start making their travel plans for Beck's induction into Canton, I don't think he really got a fair shake in Miami, and may develop into a decent QB.

His rookie year the first game he played in the team was already 0-9, the season was already completely lost and the players had stopped giving a 100%.  Given what he had to work with the first three games of his carreer should suprise no one.  I doubt a rookie Joe Montana, Tom Brady, Peyton Manning or Dan Marino would have done much better with the lack of talent and effort surrounding him.

His fourth game, when new leadership demanded that players actually be accountable and guys were playing to prove they still belonged in the league, he had a decent game, particularly given the recievers he had to work with: 13/21 135 1-TD 0-int 96.3  In 2008, he wasn't even given a real chance to compete for the job of anything but 3rd string, with Pennington signed and Henne being the "furture."

He also did well in the one pre-season game he played for the Ravens.

While he is not going to beat Flacco for the starting job, he could very well be the backup for the Ravens and with some luck get a real chance to compete.

Beck didn't fail the Dolphins as much as the Dolphins failed Beck.

I stop short of saying "no chance," because anything's possible...

It's also possible that you could end up developing into Miami's stud nose tackle. I just don't think I want to hold my breath while waiting for either to occur.

Beck didn't fail the Dolphins as much as the Dolphins failed Beck.

Nonsense... Miami didn't fail Beck, they gave him a job and paid him a shitload of money. Beck failed Miami by not developing into a serviceable QB.

I am making my plans for Canton to see John Beck enshrined into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

I say that Miami FAILED John Beck. Cameron (who needs an asterik by his name as far as previous Dolphin Head Coaches) should have done what Coach Smith did with Matt Ryan in Atlanta and let Beck be the number one guy instead of bringing in Trent Green. If he faltered, then bring Green in.

But NO! Not Cameron! Green gets his bell rung anyway and that paves way for Cleo Lemon. By the time Miami got to 0-9 like Hoodie said, most of the Dolphins had cashed the season in with Porter yelling at Cameron in the locker room.

Beck had no shot of winning with that team. Had he come in earlier in the season things may have been a little different.

Neither John Beck nor Cleo Lemon has completed an NFL pass since 2007.

And that probably won't change anytime soon.

^ I would like to be able to say that both of them are former Dolphins.
