We also drafted Pat White because the Patriots were "enamored with him". This is ridiculous, we needed an outside linebacker and there was two very good ones on the board.

I don't think you can compare the Pat White pick to Odrick.  Odrick should play.  He is an upgrade over what we have.  I thought the White pick was a waste given all our other needs, and I still wonder what the front office was thinking.

We may still get a good OLB with our 40th pick.

I don't think "because the Patriots want him" is why they picked Pat White.  I think they picked him because they got enamored with having some special packages with him in the Wildcat offense, and when it didn't work early in the season (and then Ronnie got hurt) they kinda abandoned it.

I think Pat White was drafted for a specialized purpose and that was NOT to play QB.

Really bummed about Williams. I think I would have rather taken Hughes here and taken a DT like Cody with the 2nd. I know he is a fat bastard and I'm an Auburn fan but I've seen that guy demolish some plays. Oh well, heres hoping we get a OLB prospect with the 2nd pick.

BTW, I think Pat White should be on ST so he doesnt wallow in sucktitude.

I'm just depressed that:

1) I couldn't make a draft video at Coolidge's.  There weren't enough football fans

2) I lost $2 at Keno

3) THAT PLACE IS THE MOST EXPENSIVE PLACE IN THE WHOLE COUNTRY!!!  I spent $6 for two drinks that weren't even alcoholic

Who had the best first round pick (value at position) and who had the worst (value at position)?

I think Dallas moving up and getting Dez Bryant late in the first round was a good pick up. Since I hate Jerry Jones like poison, it wouldn't bother me if Bryant's character issues continue.  But I think Bryant is a scary talent.

Worst pick?  It's got to be Tebow.  I have nothing against Tebow, but even if you wanted him, you didn't need to spend a first round pick to get him.  What were they thinking?

I'm okay with Miami's pick of Odrick at 28, but I really wanted to see us get a NT, and Williams would have been a great pick up.  Right now, I'm thinking I would rather have seen us pick earlier to get a NT, but I'll reserve judgement until I see what we do with our 2nd pick tomorrow.  Please, no more "Pat White" picks.  Get a NT or OLB please.

I don't see the big deal about our first rounder...we get an excellent tallent, we get a second rounder that could be cam Thomas, Cody or nate Allen which leaves someone like Ricky sapp in round three.

Buffalo was actively pursuing getting back into round one to get Tebow. Denver could not afford to wait on him.

CF, I think you may be right about Buffalo wanting Tebow.  Initially, I assumed the Bills would only take Tebow if Clausen was already gone.

I still think that taking Tebow in the first round is a huge reach, and a risky gamble.  They are going to spend a lot of money on a guy that most scouts think will never be able to adapt to the NFL.  Tebow does give you character and leadership .  That said, those qualities only matter if you can get on the playing field.

I liked Tebow in college and I would like to see him be successful in the pros.  But even with my limited arm-chair analysis skills, I can see the how terrible is mechanics are.
