I originally said San Ran wouldn't win until week 6. Well Christmas has come early for San Fran, in the form of an Eagles team without Michael Vick. If the Eagles have to rely on Kevin Kolb to win the game for them, San Fran should be able to beat them.

Buffalo has Lions and Browns at home. Those are there ONLY 2 shots to win a game. And I don't see them beating the Lions and they better catch the Browns on an "off day" for them!

What about Jax this weekend? Yeah, Indy lost to them, but with a bit of luck, at home, Buffalo might just pull one out.

I'm not completely convinced that Chicago won't self-destruct, giving the Bills another shot at winning a game.

Buffalo might go winless.

Seriously

that's no joke. They are worse than the 0-16 lions. That roster is atrociously bad.

what roster are you looking at? Ryan Fitzpatrick is one of the better athletes in the league, he just needs to mature

Lions beat the Rams (like I predicted).

Panthers, Bills, and Niners are still winless.

I swear, I'm almost pulling for SF to go 2-14, just so we can get Ryan Mallett (character issues notwithstanding). I am so disgusted by Alex Smith at this point that I just want to hurl.

I will say one thing about the 49ers impressed me last night, and it's really hard for me to pay this person a compliment...but damn, Ted Ginn looked pretty decent in the return game last night. First game back from the injury, and he looked like he was definitely running at 100%.

There's a lot of bad O-line play that's not helping Alex either.  How many times were defensive guys getting through almost untouched?  A lot of bad decisions were made on Alex's part because he was under duress.  There are too many first round picks on the line to excuse them for playing that bad.

From what I saw, Alex Smith just had a hard time digging out of the hole of Frank Gore's fumbles and bad O-line play.  He really seemed to get it together after Singletary screamed in his face, though, so maybe that should happen before every game. LOL

Unless Singletary's screaming has been known to increase the hand size of the person he's screaming at, I don't think that will totally solve Alex Smith's problems.

Part of the problem is Singletary as well.  I love the guy's fiery personality, but the dude who was begging for my change outside the liquor store this weekend could come up with a better game plan.

I'm not ready to pin much on the O-line youth movement either...because I think they've actually been playing pretty well. I also think that every time I see Crabtree posing and celebrating after making a monumentally routine 4 yard reception, I want to kick my fucking TV.

Jed York said you are winning the division.

My money is on sunstroke's prediction being closer to the truth.

I wonder what Alex Smith's passer rating is when SF is down by more than two scores.

When the game is out of reach, he's a dynamo.  As soon as they come back enough to be in range of winning, he turns from Tom Brady into Brady Quinn.

I was watching the game with my uncle (a demoralized 49er fan) and he thought that Smith would throw a pick on SF's second-to-last drive (when it was 27-17).  I said no; he'll drive down the field and get a TD first, then if SF gets the ball back, he'll throw a pick or fumble.

It's nice to be proven right.

Until Carolina can find any sort of QB, they're going to have a hard time squeaking out any victories.

Their defense can be stout at times, and their running game is strong, but unless Jimmy Clausen starts channeling Joe Montana, the Panthers may very well be fighting the Bills for that first pick in '11.

Another correct prediction by me: the Niners won against the Raiders yesterday.

So hard to go against the Bills with Carolina.
