San Diego is ranked first in offense. They are also ranked first in defense.
Their record is 2-4.

Since the 1970 AFL-NFL merger, there have only been 8 teams ranked first in both categories at the same time, for a total of 18 weeks. No team has ever had a losing record while ranked first in both categories. The combined records of those teams at the times they were ranked first in both categories: 62-7.

That's just crazy...maybe they should have some other players from their defense play on special teams or something.

As the ESPN power rankings said.....

San Diego is ranked first in offense. They are also ranked first in defense.
Their record is 2-4.

Funny thing is, in 1998, San Diego had one of the top five defenses in the league.  They also had Ryan Leaf at QB.  They finished 1-15.
