2011 NFC East Champions!

Is Wade Phillips gone? Is Tony Romo traded? Is the entire coaching staff gone? Do you cut people now or ride out the year?

If you're Jerry Jones, what do you do being 1-5?

when they first hired Garretta way from the Fins, wasn't Jerry Jones plan to eventually have him take over at head coach?I wonder if that plan is still going to take place...

If I am the owner of the Dallas Cowboys, Wade Phillips is given his "walking papers", because what's the point of a 10-game farewell tour? Might as well give Jason Garrett some HC experience for 2011 / keep the seat warm for Gruden / Cowher / Johnson to come in and save the day.

There also needs to be some investment in the offensive line. 13 rush attempts to me sounds like an OC who doesn't think his O-line is worth a shit.

From what I've seen and read, Jason Garrett is one of the problems. I don't know that he is still their "Golden Boy". We'll have to see.

The offensive play-calling has been questionable. Especially the decision-making process last night - going for 2 when not necessary, and going for a TD (which they missed) instead of the FG try.

it was absolutely necessary to go for 2 there.  I hate when people say "don't go for 2 until you have to".

I wonder what would happen if teams went for 2 every time, a la the Rams when Jeff Wilkins got hurt mid-game.

The Dallas Cowboys' collapse is the only thing that is making the 49ers miserable season tolerable to me...

I'll bet my boat that Wade Phillips will not be on the Cowboys sidelines in 2011.

The Cowboys have many problems, and Jerry Jones is the biggest.  Everything that's wrong with the 'Boys is his doing as GM.  As long as Jerry is running the team without an actual "football" guy to keep him from making decisions, the Cowboys are going to be circling the drain.

I doubt Jerry will be able to get a good coach either after Wade Phillips is dumped.  Jerry meddles too much, and his meddling is one of the reasons why Parcells left.  What self respecting, established coach would allow the owner to pick his assistants for him?  Or have players added to the team that the coach doesn't want?  Any coach hired in Dallas would need to know that he is second place behind Jerry's ego.

In hindsight, I don't know that it's fair to blame Jerry Jones for Parcells leaving.  Bill has a way of leaving all of his jobs for no real reason.

Definitely true.  But I don't think Parcells could work with Jerry anymore.  Their relationship never recovered after the Terrell Owens signing.

Since Dallas will be missing the playoffs, it means that Jerry Jones can get a headstart on his offseason plastic surgeries.

Cowboys fans should start contacting Raider fans to get advice on how to get through season after season of failure and wasted opportunities because of an egomaniacal owner.

How about reducing the price of tickets? --Sorry, that's just my resentment at having to pay for the Cowbows stadium.  I live in Arlington.

To give a serious answer, I'd advise either looking for some good draft prospects or trying to trade away my high draft picks for more, lower draft picks.  I'd also consider trading away some of the slackers and malcontents.  That team desperately needs a whole new attitude.
